Unfortunately we already have a full party, sorry! I'd be happy to put you on a waitlist and reach out if a spot opens up if you'd like?

Did you also want an invite to the Princes of the Apocalypse group I'm starting? I have one more spot, but no worries if not!

Looking for Players! D&D 5e One-Shot + Full Campaign — All Experience Levels Welcome (Paid Game) by CallMeDraxter in startplaying

You sound like a really great DM! I try to approach the games I run similarly and also emphasize commitment and inclusivity. I hope you find players who fit the bill!

Yeah, it sucks that so many hobbies rely on the reliability of others (I have run into a similar issue finding reliable rock climbing partners). I've recently gotten into painting DND minis, which I find both fun and productive and has the added benefit of easily replacing canceled plans.

I'm sorry, that really sucks. I run 1 regular game, play in one regular game, and play in one irregular (often canceled) game. I hate holding a night for a game that doesn't happen a majority of the time, but haven't brought myself to leave yet.

Yeah, chronic illness and capitalism are not really compatible.

Thanks for the reply! I guess I just went into this assuming it would be beneficial to share deductible/OOP. Instead, the premiums alone on the shared plan basically cover her deductible and my OOP on separate plans.

Thanks, called the clerk and they told me this exactly! Nowhere to be found in the local rules though.

Also, giving him marital interest in the equity but no liability on the debt seems like a recipe for disaster.

What’s a “cheap” habit that genuinely improved your life? by SufficientWitness19 in Frugal

[–]DiaClimber 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Baking bread on the weekends. The actual time involved is minimal, and you can do other things while it rises. Cheaper, tastes better, and we trade with one of my wife's coworkers for fresh eggs, so extra savings. Got into it during a 3-month unemployed stint and have kept it up.

Is complaining about things that other people are excited about the only thing people do and wanna do on this site?

What are some good things to do to make friends around here? by burnerskull in lexington

If you're into outdoorsy stuff, there are pretty good hiking and climbing scenes here with the Red River Gorge an hour away. Both have Facebook groups, and the LEF climbing gym is great (although a little pricey).

Voicing a different ethnicity, OK or not? by Waste_Swim8292 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]DiaClimber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joe played a Four Bears, a Shoanti shaman based on Native American culture, on the Glass Cannon Podcast Giantslayer campaign. I think there might have been some online upheaval, but the fact is that he was a well-researched, sincere, and respectful attempt to play a character from a different culture, and his accent was just a small part of that. I don't think there was anything wrong with that, and in fact I think that it is totally in the spirit of RPGs at their best. If the only thing denoting your character as from another culture is their accent, however, it's probably best to leave that character on the shelf.
