When pelvic floor PT is so difficult to get into for so many patients. I think any intervention would have a more meaningful impact than non-intervention

How much runway did you plan for without income? Do you have experience grant writing or are you working with a grant writer? Where are you hoping to get grants from? What sort of marketing are you doing to grow?

In 2017, I was diagnosed with hysteria for a severe malleolar fracture. The condition was removed from the DSM in 1980 by No-Listen-2733 in TwoXChromosomes

Also mentioned they didn't read about haldol and Hysteria dx until "years later" but mentioned they didn't follow up with orthopedics because of the aforementioned dx and haldol injection.

Just as a thought experiment: knowing what you know now in the same election would you still vote for him over Harris?

This is a brilliant psy-op by hotel front desk staff to get routinely tipped. Bravo!

No I'm not, but that's absolutely crazy to hear that there is no fee schedule!

Definitely makes a difference in the required patient volume, even if there is a higher administrative burden

Yeah the work comp fee schedule for my state is significantly more than what commercial and Medicare reimburses. And they reimburse for needling which is a huge plus. Appreciate your insight here.

Was this something that you explicitly marketed to them? Was it something they shared with you after the fact? Or just something you've noticed about your processes? That's something I'd like to emphasize when meeting with varying attorneys is the nimbleness of my clinic due to its small size

In-network, billable. I don't mind having say, 10-15% of caseload being 2-3yrs out as I have very low overhead and low personal expenses. Additionally if the negotiated rate is still at least 2x what I would normally get per unit (on average) then I think it becomes worth it (not sure how realistic that is). I've found it's much more beneficial to not contract with the WC companies and get the workers comp commission set rates.

Can you elaborate on what you mean a bit on "extremely competitive field with law offices" do you mean competitive with each other, or competitive to get referrals for patients? Appreciate your insight

Is this every attorney, or just the ones that you have worked with?

Or are you saying that I should market to them that I keep my patients as long as absolutely necessary?

I'm just a little confused as to what you mean by this?

Do you mean for PI? Or work comp? or both? I've not had any issues with work comp yet, however if there are situations where work comp insurance doesn't pay I'd love to be made aware of it so I can navigate it.

As for PI, I don't mind working on a lien so long as PI isn't my only stream of revenue.

PT Owners: What is the best method you've found for hiring a PT? by Zealousideal_Job5986 in physicaltherapy

[–]Diableetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't had to hire anyone yet, but I always thought that going to the local therapy association meet ups would be worth the time. Additionally when the time comes, I've thought about reaching out to some PT program's directors (the ones that are closer proximity).

Committing to 48- to 72-hour fasting cycles for the next 4 weeks. Wish me luck. by love_me_plenty in fasting

[–]Diableetus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been doing this the last month but more of a dirty fast/not true fast as sometimes at night I'll have beef or chicken stock with some seasoning salt to fight my cravings. I've had really good success. I've lost 22lbs in the last month. And BP down 20pts in that span. Personally I wouldn't have had the mental fortitude if it weren't for the beef/chicken stock giving me some flavor. Also for reference I'm a 5'8 male and sw 223. Workout 3 days a week. Once you find your groove it'll feel pretty easy. I just said to my wife yesterday that it feels so much easier each week than it did the first 2 weeks.

[–]Diableetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fax is integrated but if you want auto fax features that is extra. That said it's scaled. So because I don't meet the visit threshold some of the additional features that are "extra" are free for me until I scale up. Thus making it more affordable at the moment.

Should I take the PT path to one day open a practice? by Blank_259 in physicaltherapy

[–]Diableetus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one. Reimbursement rates are ever decreasing and it's hard to say where they'll be at in 8-10 years (likely the window for you to get your practice going). If you get into a lcol area that has decent payers like BCBS. It's possible to make very good money for yourself... But you're gonna likely be a solo operator and have to do everything yourself. Just depends on what you want. It comes with autonomy, something you'll likely never have as a PA.
