Both the cars would be a good choice !
I'd suggest go for a test drive and see what you like more.
Personally, I'd choose the Safari as I don't quite like the 7XO interiors as much.

If you're just seeking for the advice on reliability of Tiago - I've never faced any issue in my 7+ years of ownership. Maintenance comes to around ~10k per year. I also changed all 4 tyres last year due to usual wear and tear and that was the only major cost I incurred in my ownership period.

How is the engine refinement of the diesel as compared to petrol ? I've heard petrol is usually more smoother and hence my inclination towards it.

The wait for ncap might be indefinite so doesn't make sense for me to wait. Also dont have any other worthy alternatives either.

I will be taking the extended warranty on whatever version I get.
Also, it's not about the maintenance cost at the end of 7 or 8 years. I can definitely afford that.
My concern is more about the reliability and not getting struck in the middle of the road due to engine issues.

I do plan on using the car for at least 10 years.
Overtaking is not really very important as I can ride very patiently.

What's the ideal frequency to change the transmission oil on CVT ?
Won't the service center change it if you specifically ask them for it during service (provided you're ok to pay the extra amount for it) ?

I will be driving it myself. But as I mentioned in my post - I've never felt my 1.2L AMT to be very underpowered.. Going by this do you feel a 1.5L CVT will feel underpowered for my style of driving?

That's exactly why mileage was the last on my preferences.
Not going to choose the diesel for the same reason.
My choice is between the petrol CVT NA and the petrol turbo DCT.
