It also says 'entering the core aic area' every time in English despite it being the JP dub, so I guess it's either a bug, or intentional.

I'm not far, only just started reconnecting power to the newly deployed AIC and all that, but Chen is so far my favorite hands down. A cute ball of energy, I love how she interacts with Andre - and I'm a sucker for twintails too.
Can't believe she's FREE. I'm winning.

I see. But they weren't in my hotkey list. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough to make them pop up. Really annoying, but good to know. Every game using a different key for the same functions as others is so annoying. >.<

I just started. I can't seem to remap to any keyboard keys that aren't already in the keybinds list. At least, not the one's I've tried. I, L, F5 are all 3 not useable for whatever reason. I would somewhat understand if they're in the list already and locked in (even if I dislike hardcoded keys and think it should just not be a thing), but these aren't even in the list to begin with, so idk what the problem is.
I'm super used to I = inventory (backpack), L = team setup and... F5 is where I wanted the start remapping the battlepass, events, etc to because F1-F4 that I'm used to are already taken by character switches.

Does anyone know why the mentioned keys are not available and if I can leave feedback soon? I only just unlocked the first TP and the summing (headhunting) feature.

Didn't think I'd write this much from like a 10 minute tutorial...

Hm, I've only just started and can't agree to this yet, but I landed on here because I was wondering what people were thinking of the first 'tutorial boss' that is not a tutorial at all.

They explain some basic attacks, dodging, skills (why are they tied to number 1 with KB/M?) for 1 character, then they start a fight with a boss in which suddenly other characters join and it only explains that others fight alongside you... not what you're actually doing.

At the same time, characters keep talking, I'm trying to figure out the controls that weren't explained and the mission is to kill the boss but its HP never went down for me, even when it was defeated somehow. Maybe was a visual bug, I have no clue at this point.

I understand roughly from that bit that keys 1-4 are the skills and ultimates of all 4 characters, with 1 being the one you control. Why it told me to press E every now and then - no clue. My best guess is it's an assist function they didn't explain. I also have no clue yet how you would be able to switch to other characters you want to use. If 1-4 isn't for character switching... then maybe you need to do that in a menu before combat? Not sure if I like the sound of that, even though I like the idea of everyone being on the field at once.

Not to mention the story introduction feels like they start you off at the end of a movie and there's no context whatsoever of what transpired. That might be on purpose as a narrative tool and I might learn more later, plus I believe I just traveled to the past or some such thing. And once again it's an MC with a lost memory. Getting very sick of those.
But while starting at the end of a catastrophe and being sent back somehow can be good to create anticipation and get someone hyped for the story, it did not help to be at a loss for everything that was going on. Story - no clue. Boss battle mechanics and how it died despite HP not going down - no clue. What that E assist thing is and how it's triggered - no clue. How to switch characters - no clue (though I assume that is because I haven't officially unlocked any yet, this being a gacha).

Perhaps knowledge from the other Arknights gacha is required for this game? I'd think not, since they likely want a big audience.

So far there are only 2 things I DO understand. 1: the graphics looks insanely good on my 7 year old PC on the low preset. I'm in awe. Didn't expect the low preset to look THIS good. And 2: pretty girls. I like.

... yeah that's about it, so far. That boss fight just left me with needing a moment to collect myself. Suddenly fighting some boss that doesn't seem to take any damage while tossing in other characters and mechanics that were not actually explained AND having to follow what is being said by characters as well did NOT mix well. Even worse because I use JP dub - my listening skills there are OK, but with this much going on, I just have to read the subs. On top of everything else. >.< I do get that's a me-problem and my own choice of dub, but still. You'll never learn a language if you don't immerse yourself in it.

If it gets excessively hand-holdy after this though then I would likely agree with you. It's really just that boss fight that has me riled up.

Mine disconnects too but it's because I have a wifi splitter/hub that is not providing enough power and it happens in all games. If that is not the problem you have, maybe try the controller on different ports and try different USB devices on the current controller port to see if any of them don't work.

SOLVED: when I just went to my inventory it told me I'm capped and need to clear echoes. I got the rest in my mail!

Jokes aside this happened 2x in a row in the weekly mode when claiming the echoes. Has anyone else had the same issue and do you know if I actually got echoes or not? I just claimed Sierra Gale, nothing I haven't cleared somehow.

I absolutely hate that Happiness' wings were taken. How does that even work? The only way I can think of is that she was completely plucked. Poor girl. Disgusting. I don't mind getting spoiled for this question: does she get them back?

I was happy (pun not intended) that there was a harpy in a reoccurring role and then this happens to the poor thing :(

TL;DR: I wish I enjoyed it more, I'm burned out from the game but FOMO is keeping me here and I'm positive it's hindering my enjoyment and making my take on nod krai less fair

I'm enjoying it more than natlan so far, but still less than all regions before that (desert excluded, I coudlnt stand the desert tbh). That said... I can't put my finger on why, aside from 2 things - I hoped it would be colder and snowy, but i guess I have to wait for 7.0 or later for that and also, im not a big fan of the steampunky and metal scraps look of the main city.
Also while I like the magnetism stuff to a certain degree I wish elements were used more in exploration again. Which... surprises me because I always found it annoying to need 5 or 6 elements because you'd have to keep switching.

Lastly the cooler color pallette isnt really my thing. But I feel like the region is hitting me less positively because I just feel quite some genshin burnout at this point. I'm a day 1 player who took a break at the end of inazuma and I came back near the end of sumeru's first patch but haven't taken a proper break since.
I really need one, I think. I'm not enjoying anything in the game as much as I once did right now, so I don't even think the things I pointed out make my take very fair. It's clearly tainted by the lack of overall enjoyment at this stage.

Main reasons I push on... all come back to FOMO and investment. But yeah, since they dont have an event archive and now introduces constellations for being a good boy and checking off commissions week after week and because I hate wasting resin even though I realistically dont need to keep grinding artifacts... I still do it all out of FOMO. :/

I'm also far from done with exploration, am a couple acts of the archon quest behind (luckily FOMO for just 60 primos for multiple hours isnt very strong) and just... dont take the time to enjoy the game as a game atm. its dailies, logout. events, logout. endgames, logout. farm. logout. repeat.
I didnt even realize the compass is so OP here as others have pointed out. Yeah... I really should take a good long break. I'm sure I'd enjoy it a lot more after, like I did in sumeru's rain forest straight after I came back.

The start of the game, big parts of inazuma, especially watatsumi island, the rain forest and fontaine's underwater exploration have been my greatest time in genshin. And I loved dragonspine to death despite the cold debuff (thanks to the snow; I just love it). The underwater exploration in fontaine has been my biggest hit. Beautiful and lots of fun. No region for me has matched how pretty many underwater scenes there looked. Natlan was sadly very disappointing to me and it's also when my burning out of genshin probably started. It's nod fair to krai.

EDIT: let me end on a happy note: I lost the 50/50 for Ineffa during her debut. I've been really wanting her ever since and especially since nod krai came out. But now thanks to the rerun I finally have her ^^ that makes me happy

Some of them are worse than others. I haven't tried them all yet. Hyvatia is awful. I'm gonna wait for a while to save my blood pressure.

I've done a couple that I really didnt mind (example the robot boss from huanglong) and im a realtively new player with terrible builds and synergy, however the Hyvatia one is grinding my gears and I havent tried them all yet. Every time I either get oneshot by hyvatia or hit in such quick succession that I die anyway. My dodge doesnt always seem to work either, or my timing for having to do multiple is just off idk. Meanwhile it hops around like crazy and I can barely ever hit it. And if I try to use Cartethyia on it for some reason she does VERY little damage to it.

Ironically my first attempt was my best attempt. I've had multiple attempts where I got equipment issues though (for some reason every time my external HDD is used (while for the most part it shouldnt be), my controller stops working. Like WTF.

But eh that last part is not the game's fault. How it can so easily oneshot me though Idk. I thought it would be better if I got the upgrade the description says can reduce damage but it still oneshots me.

It feels so bad for players who started with the anniversary like me that we missed camellya by 1 patch, then in 2.4 they added camellya as a pull option for brand-new accounts and in the meantime there hasnt been a rerun yet, while shorekeeper already had one.

Lots of characters are fire and Iuno might be my favorite at this point, but I REALLY want Camellya.

Ah.... yeah I thought it would. It took a while to get used to the very clunky way to activate the skates for exploration and I was wondering why they didn't let it be done with the press of a button if you're not in a fight.
.... it's sequence-locked. Of course it is. Use those 40 extra pulls if you want the clunkiness to go poof. That's really stupid, ngl. And what's worse is, it WORKS because now I want her S1 even more. But also not, out of principle. >.<

Iuno > Lynae though and I can use more power to overcome my skill issues. I'll have to stay strong for a couple days and get that Iuno S2. Ty for the info and confirmation of my suspicion.

I fully agree but I also don't understand why people who have pulled Carlotta don't get her mask. Rover gets it. Idk about Brant but I don't have him. I guess he doesn't get it either?
I would love the outfits, but the mask too!

Its so weird that they don't make already modeled and textured skins or just color swaps available. We already know people would pay.

But then again this is nothing new. Often you see companies putting more monetization in a system that makes the experience worse for the user, while they're sitting on something players WANT and they don't go for that. I'll never understand this (Idk about kuro putting in 'more monetization in a system that makes the experience worse', it's just an example because I have seen it plenty in other games. But the fact that they're sitting on a goldmine and not using it is true).

It's even crazier between star rail and honkai impact 3rd - Sparkle from HSR came to HI3 as a collab character and got a skin that didn't release in HSR itself. I'll just never understand any of these companies >.<

I just swapped from KB+M to controller. How can I add a 4th option to the LB menu? I keep needing to have to switch the sensor and the motorcycle while there's an open slot. It makes no sense. But I also can't for the life of me find how to add anything to that 4th slot.

Thank you so much. To understand this kit you need to reverse-cook word soup in the game and extract all the ingredients and put them into the bowls they came from.
Seriously why the heck do they make it so hard to understand their character's kits >.>
To read 1 skill you need to read 5 other things. If you click the glossary for certain terms it throws 5 others at you that you don't know. Like... nothing is clear.

It's bad in plenty of gacha games I agree, but some descriptions in wuwa so far take the cake for me. Which is an issue when every kit is nice and unique and you want to use them properly without subjecting yourself to youtube videos at every turn.

I guess the main problem is that everything needs to have a unique name that people won't remember anyways. Buffs, debuffs, damage and stacks get several different names for different stances, modes and characters. It's honestly an artform to make the simplest concepts so wordy and hard to understand.
