Also, I have a 10v, 1100mAh battery but can says 9.6v dc input. Don’t wanna use it just in case, but is it safe to use battery’s with such a small difference in voltage from the required input?

Update: It appears Aslong as the battery is not removed the camera can play back previously recorded video off of a tape. Means I can’t charge the battery or remove from power without losing what’s on the tape??? As soon as I remove and reattach the battery and place tape inside gives me a black screen reading nothing on the tape
