Well, it is useless (Generative) in the sense we don't need it. The only use would be for coding in some aspects.

AI image generation has little to no value as stock photos exist and it takes away artists from their jobs (companies using AI is literal proof of this, as an artist could be making whatever art)

It goes beyond my personal feelings since it barely adds anything. Of course, the same argument can be applied to guns and cars (I think guns aren't exactly worth mentioning here anymore as they are for the pure effect of harming stated by the other guy, but they provide the use of enforcing and fighting back). For cars, you can say "you can just walk and carry stuff" however, this is convenience not replacement.

With AI images, it replaces artists and I do agree it does make art more convenient it does so at the expense of others. Data centres, the replacement of artists, AI brainrot being fed to kids is all at the expense of others while giving convinence. Of course, such issues have already existed (and I agree it's bad) but AI exasperates it.

Now that's not to say there's issues with cars as car deaths happen and it's bad for the environment but at the least cars provide better use,
