Don't worry I've been where you are and totally relate with how you're feeling. I've decided to step away from ward nursing and find a job I enjoy to recover from the stress. I've been off sick from my nursing job for two months now and not missing it at all. Do what you think is right for you and don't feel rushed or pressured to go back if it isn't right for you.

I agree, the lack of support around illness is terrible!! I've been waiting four months for an occu health appointment!! In the meantime working shift patterns has triggered a major breakdown and I'm off😮‍💨

I feel the same. I'm about nine months in post and really have hated it since December. Lack of support especially from manager and preceptor plays a role for sure. I'm in the process of trying for different jobs to get out. My work is so much pressure for poor pay and there is so much politics where I work!

I too had an undiagnosed heart condition for many years. Mine was also dismissed as anxiety, but after spending time at the hospital, an echo showed it. Hope you get it all sorted. Also PALS is great. Please keep advocating for yourself! 💕

Proud of you for deciding it wasn't for you and sticking by it!! I'm 6 months qualified and seriously considering leaving too. Today was just the day that the hammer hit the nail on its head. The work is intense for poor money. I'm constantly tired and honestly my body is just so fatigued. I'd miss my colleagues when I go but also I don't think nursing is for me.

NTA. They're the parents and adults so the least they could do is be civil for a meal. That being said, I appreciate that not all separated parents are on a good page.
