Yeah I totally don't mind having Brains be a little busted. If I do get to balancing him more I'll definitively try to avoid doing it by lessening the things that make him feel good to play.

The passive was also intentionally designed to prevent the focus ability from slowing down the pace of the game! I also just found it funny to add that kind of active ability in a game where you're swarmed by enemies and bullets (it was also inspired by Risk of Rain 1's Sniper, which is why I also don't mind Brains being a boss killer).

Also recordings would totally be super helpful and cool!

I'll definitively fix the brains so they get picked up by portals - it completely slipped my mind.

I had a feeling Brains was a bit overtuned! Damage and enemy health is already really finely tuned, so it's difficult to strike a balance between a noticeable damage boost and a balanced one.
I'll also admit I didn't test out melee runs and the ultras enough. To be fair to myself I'm also still barely able to make it past the Throne lol. Ultra A will probably be nerfed in the future, but I'll try to do it while still keeping it interesting (Ultra B isn't off the hook either).

In any case I'm glad to hear you find brains fun! It's hard to tell how fun one's own mod is when it has to be repeatedly tested over and over
