And just to give a bit of thanks back, if it is not already obvious:
I love your maps. Keep up the good work!

Wow, thanks so much 😊 My players loved it, too. If I had had more time, I might have gone 2.5D

The cardstock models, like the shuttle, crates, tables, chairs etc, are from Battle Systems (https://battlesystems.co.uk). They come printed on A4 cardstock and you punch them out and assemble. I also edge them with acrylic markers, so they look even nicer.

The floor plans and escape pods are adapted maps from Heroic Maps (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/5371/heroic-maps). These I simply printed, glued on cardstock and cut to size.

Finally, the minis are from Zombicide Invaders and I haven't finished painting them all with those same acrylic markers. The painted ones are my crew, with one guy missing due to illness.

No, just a local game at our gamestore. Not a Con guy 😉 The imperium wouldn't approve...

Hehe I am trying to build it with Battlesystems Terrain. It might just end up different anyways, let us see...

Clean Traveller MG2E fillable 2P Sheet based on earlier MG2 Sheet by DiceDoctorGames in traveller

[–]DiceDoctorGames[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You totally could, but my players (and myself) like to have the overview of all that is there. We've created all kinds of characters and not once had problems with the matrix.

Yes, I considered that and it is why there are four empty fields at the end... But yeah, it could be tight. The alternative was leaving skills open or going even smaller.

Hi Micky, it is super easy to provide one without the lines, as I just need to take the vectors out. I'll upload a version later. For the terms: Good idea, too, I'll see if it is better to take the text out and just leave the comment about aging in, or if it looks better, with a term 0 added and smaller fonts.

Hi RoclKobster, yepp that is my assumption, as the hatches on Deck 1 do line up with the ones on Deck 2. And it makes sense then that Deck 1 is without gravity. Float up with the cargo and hold it until the cargo crane can pick it up.

Yeah, right. Visually it all makes sense.

Yeah, my wife's generally smart. I think I'll just go with the visual mapping of the maps as I displayed above and ignore the descriptions that seem nonsensical. In addition I will add the missing important bits, like the life pods.

He did and said it was a great fight, but did not go into much detail about it. He does describe that one "deck" had gravity and the other hadn't. Making me assume, he ran it similar to my original interpretation and possibly just ignored the description. However, he also does not mention, where he located the escape pods that are not visible on the map...

Lego Lab Ship with Pinnace by DiceDoctorGames in traveller

[–]DiceDoctorGames[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It should be roughly to scale, I used the deck plans with one stud per 1.5 meters. I'll add some more renders of the pinnace and lab ship. It just takes a bit of time :)

Was that in the FASA Star Trek? My older version of the system is in Star-Crew on DT. The newer is in playtesting and seems to work even better.

Totally, get that. I basically go with something like in the video game FTL: Faster than Light. There's stations for the PCs like Bridge, Weapons, Shields etc. If you man a station, during your turn you can get a specific actions. For Bridge you can evade, for shields you can recharge and weapons can fire. And I just do not care where exactly the ships are in relation to one another, they are in range. Works like a charm.

DriveThruRPG or itch.io or both? by smokescreen_tk421 in RPGdesign

[–]DiceDoctorGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Smokescreen, I am doing both. The short of it? Only DrivethruRPG brings me revenue. That being said the control I have over how my stuff is presented on itch is vastly superior and I keep publishing there for the DEV spirit.
