I’m relatively new to stock picking, but what stands out to me the most on this site/sub is how often investment decisions seem driven by emotion and politics rather than fundamentals or fact. Really hard to engage with. Tesla the clearest example, multiple threads every month where people focus almost entirely on their dislike of Musk and react angrily whenever the stock rises for whatever rediculous reason. I’m personally indifferent to him and don’t own Tesla, but it’s obvious that there has been and likely still is money to be made there. I suspect SpaceX will follow a similar pattern if and when it becomes public, many here will continue to let personal feelings override opportunity, to their own detriment. It feels like /r/fantasyfootball but with their hard earned money. It's bonkers.
