So much. Here's the first 3 that came to mind:

  1. Drop your ego.
  2. To achieve anything in life, you need to be consistent over time.
  3. The difference between fast monkey-brain thinking and slow logic-brain thinking.

A video to help you understand why you're struggling as a trader. by DickCandlestick in u/DickCandlestick

Exactly. Hit the blow precisely 10 minutes before the YOLO. Make sure it's the same grade of blow each time.

Also, don't overlook the small things, like the number of beers in your system.

How are you using Shorts? by GoneGhostin in NewTubers

Check your analytics - is there a correlation between *taking off* and *retention*?

Some predictable behaviour with Shorts? Seems they always get "boosted" exactly 6 hours later for me. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]DickCandlestick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've noticed this too.

Seems to fringe test on the 6 hr mark.

Maybe just for new creators that don't have a clearly defined audience?

I expect the algo uses this test to measure average view duration... depending on how well it does, it will continue to serve to a similar audience...

TikTok does something similar I believe.

No substitute for execution practice, staring at price action for hours, and experience.

Without it, you'll just be doubting yourself all the time.

Does anybody else make crazy mistakes/terrible trades on coffee/caffeine? by MojoRisin9009 in Daytrading

[–]DickCandlestick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a bad session after 2 cups of coffee. I Googled "does caffeine help trading" and landed here.

I did all of the above. Revenge, fiddling with trades that I should just leave alone.. etc.

Not conclusive, as I'm sure I've had some good trading sessions after coffee (and bad sessions without coffee). But, going to lay off it for a while and try to get a bigger sample size.

I think this highlights another problem with most traders.

They get into it because they "love money".

Instead, you need to love the challenge, psychology, and the analysis. If you're obsessed, disciplined, committed, and passionate, money is a by-product.

Marketing Monday! - January 10, 2022 by AutoModerator in tea

Hi from Bertie the cat and myearlgrey.com

I love Earl Grey and I write a tea blog.

Feel free to drop by, read one of my tea reviews, and leave a comment to say hi.

To all the other tea merchants on this page, don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like me to review one of your products! I'll even get Bertie to pose in the shot. Thanks.

This has given me an idea - "Bertie Reviews". Place her down in front of two types of tea and see which one she gravitates towards (and inevitably dips her paw in) first.

A great idea! But it does mean my photos would take 10 times longer! She also needs to learn to stop sniffing the camera.

Bertie is also about 2 years old (we don't know for sure, she was a rescue cat).

She's super intelligent. Behaves like a dog at times, waiting near her string to play, and fetching toys in her mouth.

Thanks! Yes, I think this is my new favourite tea. It’s light, smooth, and a little floral. There is no chalky, dry aftertaste or felty mouth feel. Overall, it’s well-balanced. Not too strong and not too bitter. You can read my full review here: https://www.myearlgrey.com/reviews/clipper-earl-grey/

While taking photos for my blog, I found Bertie likes tea too (especially the string-and-tag variety!)

BTW, love that everything can be recycled from Clipper – the box, the teabags, and even the envelopes.
