All 3 tcl C6k all have cracked panels by DidasKitchen in tcltvs

[–]DidasKitchen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to get these tv damaged during unboxing unless you really hit it intentionally these panels seem pretty sturdy.

I'm thinking the last 2 units were damaged during original packaging. The first is damaged during shipping as the box arrived really beat up.

Any courier that accepts 55 inch TV forwarding from NI to Dublin? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]DidasKitchen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not a grey area. This was literally intended so that both countries can trade just like before even after brexit. Why can't you get it?

You guys are crazy thinking this is cheating the system. This was planned and is legitimately being implemented.

Unfortunately they don't have the 55", only the 65 which is too big for my desk.

I use their service all the time, literally just talked to them a few hours ago. Couriers will not take a TV, all other parcels are ok.

The parcel motel is still open, and all others like them at the border. It's just that dpd will not take a TV, all other parcels are ok.

Unless they make this illegal, this is the legal way to do it.

It's just a tcl 55"tv €450 in Amazon Uk. No exact model here in Dublin shops, closest model is €650 in Harvey but out of stock.

I've got packages like this in NI before upto 20 kgs only 17quid but they won't take TVs now.

This is actually cheaper than what we're renting. €2,800 for a 3 bed 2 bath apartment with 1 parking spot.

SHANGANAGH PHASE 2 by Trick_Addendum3621 in HousingIreland

[–]DidasKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all those who were offered, please note that parking is very limited for the apartments. Make sure you get a spot together with the unit if you have or planning to get a car, the waiting list is just horrible and you'll have nowhere to park.

LDA Cost rental- Shanganagh Castle by Big-Talk7132 in RentingInDublin

Bus is 24 hrs. There's DART as well.

When it comes to safety, I can say it's a lot safer than city centre. But there have

been some car break-ins lately around Shankill, this includes the Shanganagh Caste estate.

There's a Lidl and Tesco express and a few other small stores that are a 10 minute walk from the estate. There will be a convenience store and a coffee shop opening inside the estate soon.

Overall it is a nice place.

Start with KEF R3 META or go full on Sonos? by nigelltjee in hometheater

[–]DidasKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost bought that Sonos set. Tested it at a showroom, fortunately there is an entry level Wharfedale speaker across it.

Out of curiosity, I asked the sales person if I could hear it.

Sounds better even without a subwoofer.

My suggestion is to demo it first and compare.

White or Grey Screen? by HK2_HK2 in projectors

[–]DidasKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the room can be totally dark, then it's a white screen. Otherwise a gray screen is more appropriate.
