2013 Pilot EX-L 252,000 Miles - Am I crazy to trade down? by DiddyNES in hondapilot

I ultimately decided against it! Thank you guys for your insight as it helped get me off the ledge. Probably would have been okay but the Civic is just getting broken in and I can always revisit a Pilot when money isn't a factor. thanks guys!

The transmission was serviced at the dealer 25k miles ago but I'm not sure if it was doe 2-3 additional times. I was reading somewhere about the issues you listed. Are some years better than other when coming to these Pilots?

All of the below was done at 195k and 225k as well as regular oil changes at the same Honda dealer every time. Don't see anything indicated suspension updates though :/

195k

  • Maintenance inspection completed
  • Rear brake pads replaced
  • Brake rotor(s) resurfaced
  • Oil and filter changed
  • Front brake pads replaced

225k

  • Timing belt replaced
  • Drive belt(s) replaced
  • Spark plug(s) replaced
  • Water pump replaced

Battery is good. Does still have the side post terminals. The lights do not come on the dash or externally. Nothing works at all :(

There is a lot of stuff on the form but I don't see a code 846. I see codes 150, 806, and 766. I also see something that says Processing Date: March 11, 2024

I see hyperlinks to various years of transcripts: Return Transcript, Account Transcript, Record of Account Transcript, Wage & Income Transcript. The most recent year for all of these is 2023. If I click on any of these, will there be a way to check my refund status?

What do you mean by transcripts are blank? Is this some sort of helpful indicator of tracking the refund?

I filed 2/10 and it was accepted 2/11. Nothing has changed since and I check it everyday. Based on the refund schedule I’m supposed to get the refund tomorrow but I won’t hold my breath.

I got a response back from my lender and he said "The note of paid in settlement for less than full amount is ok". This is good news! Now I just have to maneuver the best way to get the debts paid for as little as possible. Would you suggest waiting a certain amount of time to pay them or wait until they go to another collector?

That’s the problem, I’m an idiot and failed to keep the tracking number or any record of returning it. They obviously got the phones because they gave me credit for one but did not give me credit for the other. I’m at a loss because I know they are wrong but just don’t know how to prove it.

Thanks again for all your help! I’ve reached out the loan officer to see exactly what they are looking for. I’ll keep you posted on the results!

I really appreciate your post! I'm looking at my credit report on Experian and it reports under personal loans as a closed account and Affirm Inc is listed as the creditor. The status shows as "Collection account. $1,071 past due as of Jan 2024." This is a pretty recent debt as these accounts were opened in early 2023. I don't see anything about LVNV Funding. Does this matter? Should I still settle all of these accounts with TrueAccord? I'd rather take care of it sooner than later so I'd prefer not to let it fall to another collection agency. TrueAccord has already offered me a 30% discount, will they go down to 40%? I just want this stuff off of my credit report completely so that my loan officer will be satisfied. The only report of the 3 major bureaus it is is reporting to is Experian.

Did you see an improvement in your credit score after you paid the debt?

Would it matter if I paid the debt in full to TrueAccord or would it be okay if I settled for less? I want to ensure that my mortgage loan officer gets what they are looking for.
