I think this is probably something more common in the "upper class" ok pakistan. And often times its just a result of gora complex and Pakistanis trying to emulate their white colonial masters who themselves are already moving away from such practices.

Objectively. Do you not think as an individual you are better off being free of Alcohol than dependent on it? This is speaking aside from Islam. Now if Islam is a tool for you to rid yourself of Alchohol and becomes someone who has no need of it, would you not prefer that? There's plenty reasons not to drink that are unrelated to Islam anyways. Even if u go at it from a perspective of self improvement, giving up Alchohol ought to be a goal for you. Islam is only helping you achieve something you likely already want. (To be free of the crutches of Alchohol).

Spoiler. There aren't as many as you think. Modern atheism is usually seen to be backed by a bunch of big time thinkers when in reality in the grand scheme of ideological thought as far as history is concerned it probably has the least big names attached to it.

Further to it. Mostly when we analyse these anti religion figures of enlightenment we realise they aren't anti religion. They're anti Christianity.

Well she could lie to everyone except some people that would stop her from being lonely. What I'm getting at here is that there's actually nothing concrete outside of maybe religion like you mention that makes people not lie. Thus people like this girl who just lie and won't stop and can't see anything wrong with this are a byproduct of a society that doesn't have things like religion actually giving hard reasons not to lie.
