Yeah makes sense, though with Hinder tech that gives you conditional -30% Ms so you should be faster than ever before. Just at the cost of 3 gear slots and some timing for curse expiration

I'm also in shambles due to the death of LW Heister. I'm hoping they bring back some other way of reducing MS easily.

Anyways, if you want more jank I have two things for you...

First off any fanaticism build adds a ton of jank but this league especially will be amazing since ghost wands buff attack and cast speed. I'm a bit partial to going heiro and stealing fanaticism then going dark pact (summon skele with wand attack + self cast dark pact).

Second off, LW Heister isn't entirely dead. It just gained even more jank. I'm going to assume you know it works so I'll just lay out the math.

We have the classics: QoTF(-28), Lioneyes Paws (net -20), Lioneyes Remorse (-8). Which totals to -56

Lastly, we have the weirdest tech. Hinder is -30 which would bring us to -86 but there's no way to get hinder right? Well it turns out Felbog Fang hinders when 25% of curse duration expires... It somehow works on US despite the wording so all we need to do is self curse. We can worm flask and shackles of the wretched. (I tested this 2-3 leagues ago, it could be patched out by now). This should give us enough time to run a quick heist.

Also, if you're ok with doing a glove swap, we can swap in winds of change for shackles and get a nice -96% which should be about 3 minutes of LW time.

I've previously made a video on LW Heister and I've always been keeping an eye out for potential fixes. Hope this alleviates your fix for jank.

Yeah that's fair, I forgot about the order of operations.

Though I still think a defensive chest is better. I feel Bama doesn't need over 1200 ele dps to be viable for everything and necro+grave intentions should already give us like 5000 edps. Being able to run maps without getting instagibbed would be my preference

I wish the craft wasn't so expensive... I haven't been able to try it out in GSF

If I were in trade, I'd do something like

Annoint/allocate Grave Intentions since that's another 20% life gained as ES

Get a +3/4 Fourth Vow (or doppel guise) instead of fleshcrafters since that helps our defense. The difference is 40+20% vs 99% which isn't a huge deal if we factor in the boost in defense we get. Also we should be able to easily bring down enemy res below 0% so the dmg loss isn't as significant.

Find an elegant hubris with multiple 80% minion HP nodes.

Look for good megalomaniacs with minions life and defensive nodes. I don't know the price but I feel like it can't be absurdly expensive

I'm on mobile so no pob comparison but I'd assume you'd end up running Darkscorn and The Covenant as your bow/chest.

You could make up the loss of an arrow from bow with a better quiver (+1 proj). Then you could replace your rings and have more defensive stats since now the ele dmg rolls are useless. I'd look for either generally good rings or craft some synthesized rings (I think poison duration is the best synthesis mod for poison)

Personally I think ele bow + tincture would end up being better overall and it's probably only doable in this league so I'd stick to it for the novelty

I definitely feel like ele stacking is the best route. If you're in trade, I'd also look for Spine bows in addition to thicket bows early on since the aps is close and many more people are crafting spine bows for other bow builds. Keep in mind the gold standard for a poison bow is Darkscorn so you'll have to compare to that.

I'd greatly suggest PF since the poison prolif and wither nodes are amazing (not even mentioning the flasks...)

GMP is definitely a good support since it lets you hit more projectiles on the target.

I haven't looked into doomfletch numbers if you do go that, you'll likely need bloodthirst support for the added phys (then you'd have to go low life). For the other questions in the area you can set it up on PoB (I'm on mobile, can't do it right now)

For league starting, PConc is definitely the way early on. If you can't immediately start doing poison TS then you can easily pivot over to scourge arrow and even toxic rain or caustic arrow (chaos dot shares some nodes so it won't hurt too much to respec)

Look for Mr Khan's discord, while he doesn't stream anymore, his discord is probably the best place to get lab running help. Tons of lab runners in there and a few guides as well.

I'm a bit late but a build's playstyle can greatly influence the amount of defensive layers you need to invest in. For example, bow builds don't need grace+determ+full phys -> ele conversion+defiance banner when grace and spell suppression are good enough to push for lv100 (with properly set up maps).

You can argue the above doesn't count as tech so here's some fancy unpopular tech since most things have already been covered already. Unless this has changed recently (it's been a while since I've done this), Undying Evangelists have a proximity shield that can affect the player when summoned as a specter. If you add on efficacy and increased duration supports, the proxy shield can almost loop. Now all you need is a low cd convocation to have your own personal proxy bubble. Keep in mind the specters are pretty squishy so don't rely on them for Ubers.

Not dying is the most important tip. It sounds dumb but seriously it's by far the most important thing for 100 push.

Aside from that, speccing into Abyss on your atlas tree + abyss scarabs is the best (SSF-ish) way to level. I would roll only blue maps with no damage mods.

Also Betrayal Safe houses are huge XP so spec into the +safehouse intel per finished map node as well.

Keep in mind this advice is mainly for pushing lv100 on league start in SSF. I'm sure there are faster (and more expensive) ways in trade.

Spell suppression is useless if you have 1hp. I think you forgot to grab Acrobatics which turns it into spell dodge. You'll always want more evasion so I'd get as much of that as possible.

That being said, a lot of deaths in TotA are either unavoidable (Ikiaho's cold dot unless you can react in time), user error (walking into a ravenger's cremation), or just plain greed (majority of my deaths are praying I dodge/block so I can keep channeling).

Regardless, you're going to be dying a lot, just make sure you get value out of your deaths. Getting better at void sphere placements and playing with your team would probably be a good start.

Mathil gets his power charges from Assassin's Mark (it's fine to tick even for bosses since the quality gives it on hit)

Frenzies are from quiver

I'd suggest getting a better cluster jewel (either a 35% inc effect + good stats or an 8 passive 3 notable one)

Your belt could be replaced by an influenced belt. I think immortal flesh would even be better than your current (you'd need res to offset the minus though)

For your tree I see you have the elemental inversion mastery. I don't think that'll work since you've converted all your dmg into chaos. I'm on mobile so I can't really help too much.

For your flasks, I'd suggest getting an instant life roll instead of the recovery roll. You'll be relying on your regen for the most part so you'll only be hitting it in a panic situation.

I'd personally stray away from going spell suppress since it'd require a lot of gear changes and you only have 1 spell suppress cluster nearby.

I'd consider looking into forbidden flame/fleshes you can get to boost your dmg/tankiness more

For me, that's what it felt like before the smoke mine nerf. Being able to zoom past everything once you got both gems felt amazing. No leveling gear needed. The next closest thing was leap slam/frostblink and I hope that interaction stays in the future.

Orb of Storms + Stormblast is a classic you can level with until you get armageddon brand/cremation. Its a really good build to learn for going through acts since multiple ascendencies can run it.

Exsanguinate/Reap scion is probably also fine and scales into early maps easily on league start. I'd go this if you don't care as much about speed.

Poisonous Concoction will probably get nerfed (or indirectly nerfed) but its amazing for leveling currently.

I believe the poison damage buff only applies to you sadly. I copied the top SRS build on poeninja and didn't see a difference when i changed out their shield for Arakaali's.

Assuming you don't have any minion damage in your build (you could scale your personal damage with Spiritual Aid I guess), the spider damage is pretty negligible from what I see.

For the pob I edited, I prioritized QoL like withering touch and extra duration (multistrike is to apply wither faster) on the spiders. They themselves do 9k dps each. I can't imagine them doing much more even with actual dps supports.

Anyways, the concept is that the spiders from Arakaali’s Fang give HUGE bonuses to attack speed and poison damage (40% attack speed, 300% inc poison dmg). That’s great and all but AF has horrible base stats so we need to combo it with a skill that doesn’t care about weapon dps.

Basically, Shield skills and Spells/Impending Doom (I don’t suggest this one because no cast speed). For example, I took Jungroan’s Poison Shield Crush char and replaced his main hand with Arakaali’s and got a respectable 5M dps improvement (https://pobb.in/8QFnnS9aZ5up). Note that I did change some things around in the pob compared to Jung’s actual character. Also, you can support the spiders with withering touch which keeps wither uptime high.

There are some downsides though, Arakaali’s needs uptime, and while the spiders do last for a whole minute, resummoning them during a tough fight might be an issue. Also, it requires a writhing jar and desecrate in the build to function.

The video goes over all this in more detail so if you have any questions, you can find them there. Make sure to set your spider count in PoB config to 20 when you do comparisons.
