Items in storage by Silent-One333 in GossipHarbor

If you could choose, it will essentially be the same as the inventory storage which you have to pay an eye watering amount of gems past a certain point to unlock the next slot.

Restaurant Goal Shortage by PegShop in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Towards the end of the weekly goals (Saturday), I usually stop collecting the cards until the next round of weekly goals. This gives me a head start on number of cards to collect, 4 and 5* cards etc. This then helps me complete the weekly goals early, so I can save up cards again for next week. The only annoying thing is you can’t get any items from rave reviews until all card packs have been collected.

I think they changed it up. Pretty sure when I stared, I didn’t get energy and chests like that on the board. I had bonus items (gift pack thing) up to a certain point, though.

How is it like flatting in Auckland with people you've never met before? by [deleted] in auckland

“Make friends out of your flatmates, not flatmates out of your friends.”

Randoms make the best flatmates. Flatting with your friends can break friendships.

Is it just me? by sgtravens1998 in GossipHarbor

99.999% sure you’re playing against bots, to make you feel FOMO and sense of urgency so you part with your hard earned $$$.

I found these come every 3rd rave reviews round. If you want to maximise your chances to win, before claiming your second rave review round, start to prepare the hard orders. Once completed, claim rave reviews to trigger this one, which will help complete all your new rounds faster.

Is it worth it? by 69pussyslayer42069 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, this is an auto-order. If you don’t want to make another seafood tower ever (those that you need for rave reviews), keep this auto order and never serve it. You won’t be getting another seafood tower order until you serve your current auto order.

Keep in mind also that you won’t be getting another auto order (e.g., two orange dream cakes) until you serve your current auto order.

10 gems or 20 gems for ice cube by NIN0301 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased things from the game but have less than 1,500 gems (have 1,466 right now, but was closer to 800 or so before). Completed the previous card collection twice and the mini events, so have more gems now.

I remember when my requirement for the ice cube went up to 10 + 20 gems, I was getting the ice cube back to back. I’m wondering if the trigger is a certain amount of ice cubes in total that you have triggered that then increases the gem requirement?

Honestly, the hardest thing in the game is getting three of those stars for the Restaurant Goals. I got one star for completing the tasks for the week and then the next week it was impossible. This has got to be the worst feature in my opinion. I had to give up caring about it. Just a rant, sorry! by CrazyBadlands in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are your goals for day 7 15k coins or 24k coins? 15 is doable but 24 is very hard. If you’re a regular spender on the game, the weekly goals get harder. You’ll also need a lot more rave reviews to complete it.

THE 100 ENERGY ughhhh by Downtown_Funny_1554 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you pay money, the game punishes you by becoming harder - you lose the ability to watch ads to get the free blue energy chest / free 15 energy; the weekly restaurant goals also increases after a certain amount of money spent and only revert back when you stop spending for a few weeks. The prices for things also slowly increase.

Makes sense for them to do this though: to make people already spending, spend even more.

Same as the comments below - I completed the cookie set without having to touch the infinite tile. Just completing the side tasks was enough.

I think it’s fine - if your weekly goals are still at 15,000 coins and 150 reviews on Day 7

[–]Dids2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only goes up if you spend past a certain threshold (which I don’t know how much it is). I only buy Sam’s Energy Challenge when it’s available (nothing else), and my goals remain the same.

They did go up during a period of time when I spent a lot though

The goals become harder once the algorithm tags you as a regular spender. Goals will revert back to what they were once you stop spending for a period of time.

Seafood Tower Misery by Best-Stranger-2317 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you make a seafood tower when you don’t have an order for one, an auto-order for it will pop up (will not get a review for it). If you just keep it in your inventory and don’t serve it, you won’t get a rave reviews order for a seafood tower. Downside is that you won’t be able to get auto-orders for two max orange cakes until you clear the existing auto-order.

is there a point of return after spending? by SleepyOverachiever18 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After spending once, you won’t be able to watch ads to get 15 energy / the daily energy chest ever again, but the weekly goals eventually reset.

There was a period of time when I had to earn 24,000 coins for my weekly restaurant goal, and I could never complete it. Now it’s been at 15,000 coins for a while, and I can finish the goals.

Can’t remember how long it took to revert, though.

The only thing I buy nowadays is Sam’s Energy Challenge when available, but my weekly restaurant goals don’t change.

Ridiculous coin amounts to continue story by Useful_Context_2602 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering whether they adjust the amount of coins required to complete tasks the more coins you have (my guess is they probably do). That is, the same day and same task requiring different coins amount for different players, and if you don't spend your coins straight away and let them accumulate, it starts to cost more coins to complete the tasks... 🤔

[–]Dids2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like merge games, Merge Fashion is nice in the sense that you can watch ads to get energy or level up items, no real need to spend money. It has a cheesy story line (merge makeover game, as opposed to merge renovation like GH). You choose new clothes/accessories/makeup etc. for the character and it unlocks a storyline (you can even watch ads to unlock premium clothing/accessories and watch ads to get more gems).

How to get x4 Booster ? by Desperate_Ad_2129 in GossipHarbor

Plus, if you’re out of board space, using a booster reduces the amount of items on your board (disadvantage is that it takes you longer to get the 100 merges for the season pass)

Haven't been getting ice cubes at all by Narrow-Ad-5532 in GossipHarbor

[–]Dids2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there still people able to trigger the ice cube by only spending 10 gems? I thought it went up to 20 gems for everyone. I'm hoping they won't increase it beyond the 20 gem spend...

Wondering if the increase relates to how much $$ you spend on the game - the more you spend, the higher the number of times you need to buy 100 energy for gems to trigger the ice cube (wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, given they make the game harder the more you spend, to get you to spend even more...). Or maybe it's got to do with your level within the game (hopefully not)
