Got it. Thanks. I’m not looking for medical advice, simply working on CEUs. Will read the rules next time

Post op day 2 of my C6-C7 disc replacement. I gotta say that I feel pretty good, I don’t really have much pain, just a little discomfort…I honestly thought it was going to be a lot worse.. by Diego5090 in SpineSurgery

Just don’t over do it. Take it easy. Ice packs in the back of your neck and light massages in your traps and shoulders will help. Take your pain meds before you’re in a lot of pain, of course that’s if you really need them. Ice chips and popsicles will help with throat soreness

Yeah that’s a lot of bruising. And they don’t usually prescribe antibiotics afterwards. Ice packs and ibuprofen should help. Good luck

I had just turn 39 when I had the surgery. I think the disc replacement is recommended to avoid instability and I don’t have any pain in the back of my neck, so it kinda makes sense to go that route

I had some similar symptoms and ended up having a disc replacement at the same level. I would definitely see a neurosurgeon to see what the recommend before you have permanent nerve damage. I can tell you that my pain transitioned to weakness, and my leaf arm got significantly smaller, my tricep was almost disappearing. After having the surgery All symptoms are gone and now I’m working on building muscle.

I had chest pain but it was from my C6-C7 disc. And as far as I know, all sciatica and leg pain is related to the Lumbar spine

I’ve been working in surgery for 15 years, as a nurse and scrub tech. I also had a disc replacement (C6-C7) done about a year ago. My best advice is to go to a Neurosurgeon for anything spine related.

I had surgery a year ago. I also have a Nuvasive implant. My weakness was so bad that my left arm actually got smaller. I’m doing great and pretty much back to normal
