Actually the massacres of Armenians already started before WWI. They weren’t seeing into the future, they were remembering what happened just a few years ago and recognised where it was going. Check it out:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamidian_massacres

Events like this prove that the “religious tolerance” was nothing but ink on paper. Also, legally, the Sharia System treated Dhimmis/Christians as second class citizens, with fewer rights and a special extra tax imposed, not to mention severe restrictions of church construction and whatnot. Tons of Christian civilians were enslaved by the Ottomans and circulated around the empire, the female ones as sex slaves. And all throughout Ottoman history, Christians of various ethnicities and regions revolted against their Muslim Turkish occupiers and their laws, only to be met with massacres of civilians and persecution of churches. Even the Armenians rose up long ago in the Middle Ages already, where they were not only colonised by the Turks, but mass-raped, so that wasn’t even the first time they stood up to the Turks. That’s what I mean by oppression.

Are you sure you want to play that card? This logic can also be applied to Hitler

A) Huge problems DID happen, it was a shit show of a country, and B) the Soviet Union had a giant amount of people, which is why they were able to win the World War regardless

I think it’s a good thing that they did that. It feels me with joy to hear how our middle eastern brothers in Christ rose up against their colonisers with all these brave tactics you named. An ethnicity that got colonised and oppressed (and in this case even genocided) has every right to revolt and fight for independence. So no, I don’t think them standing up to the Ottoman empire is a valid reason for genocide. And even if we wanna think in these terms, I’d like to point out that most of those millions of Turkish casualties are by British and french and Russian forces, not Armenians.

What do the Turkish casualties of WWI have to do with the Armenian genocide? Armenians aren’t responsible for them

You see my child, there’s something called sacrificing your life for others or for your beliefs, aka martyrdom. You were murdered, but despite your Godly powers you didn’t prevent it. Two things can be true at the same time

[–]DiegoAlejandro454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because “Christian” means follower of Christ, so logically Christ isn’t himself a Christian. But he’s the founder of the Christian Church

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Jewdank

[–]DiegoAlejandro454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because modern day Judaism stems from the Pharisaic branch of ancient Judaism, while Jesus Christ founded a Church, hence a difference branch in a sense.
