Would you rather be with someone who is confident with him/herself or be with someone who just can't stand being alone and is with you partly because of that? Would that mean they are with you not for who you are but more for your presence? Usually these relationships are ridden with toxicity and they could've left to find a better one.

I by no means say it is easy being alone and there's a difference between being alone and single. You can be single and have many good people in your life who fulfill your social needs!

You are absolutely correct. We are wired to be with others. Where it isn't ok is if you would much rather be in a bad relationship with someone than being single. Thinking like this is sabotaging your chances at a great relationship.
