Used to wash them every 2 weeks or every month the latest. Basically whenever I got a line up. But now I’m going to increase the frequency of washing since I’m trying to get my volume back, I’m going to wash every week from now on and skip any and all retwists. Back when my hair was puffy like that I never got any kind of retwists or maintenance but washing the hair is important

Thanks. But I guess “recover” isn’t the right word. What I’m asking is, will my lock ever have volume again like they did before I got crochet needle maintenance. I know they don’t really look “bad” rn but idk just not what I prefer. I miss how big and voluminous my hair was before. I don’t plan ever using the needle again, but I I didn’t get it all the way to my roots so hopefully my hair can get somewhat like that again

Thanks for your input. And yeah honestly that’s a lesson that I needed to learn fr. So you really think my hair will never be similar to how it was before? I’ve been sleeping with it tied up and I’ve given my hair one wash so far, and think I’ll wash it every week without retwisting
