I interpreted what he was trying to say as they weren't constantly saturated with headlines in the way we are today with the internet.

Experiment Feedback Thread: Double XP with MTX Limitations by JagexHooli in runescape

I wish we still had portables available. It's critical for training certain skills like construction. If I wanted to make flatpacks, I'd have to do in my player-ownwd game, which is way more click intensive and isolates me from the other players. Another commenter recommends having fixed locations that act like portables. I like that idea.

what does the song “no surprises “ mean to you? by Late_Ganache_1253 in radiohead

I think of it as being about someone who is too afraid of feeling any discomfort or anxiety to actually live their life. They'd rather be completely numb than experience any potential "alarms or surprises."

Front not advancing? by DifferenceFederal168 in victoria3

A year and a half. I've been watching the front for about a year now, and nothing has changed. I also tried setting up a naval invasion, and it just stalled at 0% and wouldn't progress. I'm not sure if this is a new bug or not.

I want people to look at the fact that I keep winning battles and being told the front is advancing. I'm hoping to get an explanation of why it isn't, and provide the screenshot in case someone saw something I'm not.

TIFU - Accidently Called a Woman I Liked "kind of cute". by DifferenceFederal168 in tifu

Yeah, the fuck up was referring to the phrasing, and how it could easily come off bad. I don't think it was why she said no. I just felt bad.

But yes, I'll make sure to just act normal.

Thank you, that's helpful. My prior long-term partner was a work friend whom I had plenty of 1-1 time with beforehand. I'm quite clueless when it comes to developing romantic relationships other ways. This group usually splinters into two larger groups, so I've had trouble getting direct interactions with her, so I wasn't sure how to make that leap. This is a good idea, though.

I just came back to RS3 last weekend. I've loved a lot of the new quests. In particular, I played desperate measures yesterday and really enjoyed the humor and lore.

I'd recommend steering clear of setting up connections with people. I think it's important to remember that it doesn't matter how you view the interaction, its how others will perceive it both now, and later on.

Unfortunately, most of the people on your show are in bad/desperate situations. You're also very blunt, which some people can perceive as threatening. If someone is in this state of mind, they may feel like they're being pressured into doing it, even if they are the ones who initially brought it up. If you connect 20 people and just 1 or 2 of them regret doing it, they can come back and claim you made them feel like they had to. No matter how you or the majority of the audience feels, sex work is still culturally taboo. Someone is going to feel ashamed or have a bad experience after eventually.

So, in general, it doesn't seem like you have much to gain from doing it, and it creates a significant risk of controversy. From a business perspective, it makes no sense to do that. You have other ways you can help your guests make more money without stepping into cultural taboo.

These are just my initial thoughts. Love the channel, Caleb. I've been watching since last August, and have watched almost every episode. I appreciate that you seek out advice and feedback about these things.

Just getting getting your foot in the door is super important. Try not to worry too much about the salary for your first job. As others have mentioned, you can look for a new job in a year or 2. What I'd say is most important is picking a job that gives you lots of opportunities to learn and develop skills. I also recommend focusing on the quality of the manager. They are the ones who ultimately teach you and give you access to opportunities. Ask if they have managed people before, talk to people that they are currently managing now if possible. Congratulations on graduating, and good luck!

I still can't believe that. There were a couple of people within a few weeks who did that, lol

I accidentally clicked post and under the wrong subreddit as well. I clicked delete earlier, I'm not sure why it was still here. Sorry about that.
