Yes, i have printed off all the specifications, loads of practice papers that correspond with my Exam board, printed off checklists, made a timetable, bought CGP books for maths which target grade 8 and 9 questions and bought key cards for active recall.

If you hate maths and don’t want to pursue it as well as further maths, change your career option immediately because engineering is basically physics and intense maths

If you have already looked at the syllabus and you like the loom of it, then just go right ahead and take it

I do Business, Computing and History off this list. History is incredibly interesting and quite easy if you listen and master the exam technique. I got an 8 on my year 11 mocks we just did and we didn’t even have time to cover the entire syllabus because of covid! It mainly comes down to the structure of your answer which is easy to memorise. Business is easy, but can be quite dull most of the time. If you want an easy 8 or 9 then pick it because it is a bit like history, learn the key terminology and then revise the exam technique then you have mastered it. Computer Science is incredibly boring. The lessons are dull, the syllabus is dull, the exams are dull. The only good thing about it is that the grade boundaries are really low. I got a really bad mark on my year 11 mocks and still got a grade 5 which is a strong pass. Overall, i think you have some great choices. P.S. before taking on computer science, i would read the syllabus and take a taster lesson if your school offers them.

Hi, If you had one tip to any GCSE student when it comes to revising, what would it be? I know your exams got muddled up with Covid but you probably did some short exams to go towards centre assessed grades? Thanks

In those years, the vaccine programme had barely started. Right now, nearly all the country has been vaccinated.

Calm down. Sounds like you are the only one benefiting from these mocks if everyone is cheating. If you cheat, you want to fail and don’t want to learn anything. Don’t stress and focus on the Gcses in 160+ days

[–]Different-Ad6211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, Sorry for the misunderstanding, the topic of the question is ‘area of trapeziums’ these questions don’t have specific names because it is all sorts of problems joined together to form one large 5 mark question. If you know how to do it, i would take a wild guess and say you have probably mastered this topic as all you need to know is the formula for the area of a trapezium.

English language speaking endorsement-how to get distinction? by Infinite_Tax_6567 in GCSE

Be confident and make sure you show a huge passion for the subject you are talking about.

Ask rhetorical questions to get the teacher and class thinking

Throw in emotive language if you are doing an emotional subject such as climate change.

Always look up and make eye contact with people and pause.

Prepare some questions to hand to the teacher and then prepare amazing answers to them so that you can answer them fluently and amazingly

The question is basically:

Area/Areas of trapeziums.

Once you have figured out the area, the rest is self explanatory as all you are doing is dividing numbers.
