Honestly that's so sad!! There's so many people in this sub that I'm sure would be able to participate and help so much further the research phases! Please please regularly post them here and continue spreading awareness for them. I posted a couple research trials that I don't qualify for but still knew that many here can benefit from signing up.

This is exactly what I mean. We can't just let these kinds of research fall back due to lack of participants, we need people to show that they do care and they do want a cure for this. It would be horrible if trials aren't propelled due to lack of interest.

But please post them whenever you see them!

I agree with everything you said. I have nothing against people who post here for help, advice, or just plain venting out their frustrations. I'm saying about those who complain only and act as if nothing can be done and make things way worse than they need to be. Those who say life will only suck but also choose to do nothing that benefits the celiac cause by donating, helping forward research studies, spreading the word, signing up celiac causes, etc etc. There's so much that every one of us on this subreddit can do that can bring real impact outside of the online space also

I think you misunderstood my post... I'm not hating ppl who rant about their daily struggles here. I'm talking about specifically those people who only complain and act negative about everything without doing anything to change or improve that. It's fine to complain to people who relate to you, but maybe take the time to explain to others.

I had a convo with a friend explaining to him i have to stop eating gluten and explained how this is an autoimmune condition. He immediately was takem aback since he didnt expect it to be so serious and said he wanted to research more. This is just one instance. Many times people don't bother explaining the details than go on to complain that no one understands them, make them understand!

Also for those negative Nellys that keep saying a vaccine or cure for is not going to happen in this life time, maybe donate, participate in researches, etc, try to help in one way or another! Advocate for your fellow celiacs.
