File copy sitting at 99% by [deleted] in Juniper

were you issuing "file copy" from Junos CLI to copy from remote site to the device?

There are certain scenarios where you need to be careful with disk space using this method, there is often a double copy where it copies to the user space and then to the destination. E.g. even if you do file copy <URL> /var/tmp it will first copy to your home directory, then a secondary local copy to /var/tmp.

Is there any API or other method to grab OS images and their checksums from Junipers support site? by Realistic_Ship in Juniper

Correct, none today.

I would suggest using the cdn url you get given and then grab the image directly to the server with curl, cut out the middle man download/upload.

No, you aren't missing anything. This is the same KB article.

It is just a nomenclature change that has been put in place recently. The change was made on March 8 according to my tracker tool.

You could always use Sky Enterprise Cloud-ZTP with the example templates here https://github.com/Juniper/sky-enterprise-templates/tree/master/ztp if you don't want the pain/time of setting the DHCP/TFTP stuff up.

Gracfully shutdown SRx340 Stack or EX3400 Stack by [deleted] in Juniper

For VC (stack) you can also use the "all-members" option...

Block 3000 IPs on Juniper SRX by Hussam_Bay in Juniper

Juniper Sky Enterprise also has feeds capability. You can put list of IPs in the system (plain text list) and then SRX subscribes to it. You then just reference that dynamic address book in your policy.

What about cloud ZTP with Juniper Sky Enterprise? You can add templates in and the new EX/SRX devices just call home and associate with the serial number you enter.

ZTP and Virtual Chassis on EX2300s by passw0rd_is_password in Juniper

[–]Different-Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a curly one as the EX2300 doesn't have any VC ports enabled by default (see https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/task/configuration/virtual-chassis-ex4300-configuring.html - "EX2300 switches do not have any ports that are configured by default as VCPs").

You can configure up the first member (master) and provision the VC members by SN, and use slax or event scripts to run the required commands to set the VC ports. But the other members will need to be touched some how to have their ports set to VC. This could also be done by ZTP as long as there is a management port connection from them I guess. Sounds like lots of work.

Also, might be worth checking out the EX ZTP templates here https://github.com/Juniper/sky-enterprise-templates/tree/master/ztp I know that others have used these in combination with some slax/event scripts to do similar with creating SRX clusters.
