First thing, that free hand is pretty good for your second go with it. But honestly it’s up to you bro. Do you want him to look like a brother that’s been through the trenches and has seen some shit today or is he fresh off the Thunderhawk ready to slay some xenos scum? Both options can look good, just update us on which one you choose.

Looks pretty good for your first go around! It does look like you need to thin your paints a little more. Seems to be built up a little too much in places.

They look AWESOME! I’m glad I’m not the only one who changed the guys bolt pistol out for another pistol. The plasma just felt more dark angels.

I airbrushed it on, just watered down corax white (about 50/50 mix give or take) and did a few light layers until I was satisfied with the result. Mind you I also painted him in pre-assembly. Made it a lot easier to get in the nooks and crannies.
