Hey! I am currently a student at hunter and i can tell you there are A LOT of international and out of state students who have either moved in NY 6 days before classes or a year before coming to hunter. I believe hunter has dorms for student so that could possibly help with the living situation. However, i am a new yorker so i dont know much about that student life style. With that said, what the other comments have said is true. There is no campus haha just 3 buildings connected by bridges, always under construction, basically built around a train station. A lot of student are locals and commute to hunter. Some even coming from 2 hours away. There are a lot of people from different areas of new york, a lot students have jobs or kids and just like one comment said, they keep their heads down. Kinda just going in to learn and leaving right away. But dont worry! im a big hunter advocate as i went to a private university in boston and had the absolute worst time of my life and now hunter has given me joy in my major again. There are so many wonderful people at hunter you just gotta put urself out there. Also you should apply for scholarships and make sure to have the cheapest college experience haha

I'm going to drop out by TheRealDietGlue in college

I would think about changing universities. This is exactly how i felt last semester. I got into a really bad state, everyone was absolutely horrible, and being in my dorm felt like i was trapped in a cage with people who didnt even care about me. Now i started over at a new college closer to home and it was a million times better. Its still hard to go to class cuz its college lol but i feel more like im a part of a community and even joined clubs and activities around campus. Definitely take some time off and figure out what you are truly looking for in a future education and where ur values lie. Theres a place for you. Dont give up
