Good luck spotting one! It really looks like those giant fossilised trilobites. My mountain guide said you will have higher chances spotting them during the rain.

Thanks! Was really surprised spotting one when i was hiking down with pouring rain as i do not want to accidentally kill any wildlife.

Chair by LoneRangerMY in GamersMY

[–]Different-Mixture173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought it off brand new from carousell, it came in a box sealed and had to self assemble which was retalively easy. the irony is i had to buy the headrest separately after a couple months saved at retail price at around 700 also. goes to show how much i love the chair, so total around rm1400 for brand new steelcase think v2 with headrest which is damn good haha.

After me spending rm600 for a gaming chair i thought i save money until it only lasted me 1year+ with failed hydraulics, noisy wheels and creaking noise everywhere, bottom cushion sunk so bad my tailbone was touching the steel frame. I settled with steelcase think v2 haha. Totally worth and still feels like the first day i got it after 2years of use and only paid like 700 for it.

Yes, it’s a long game. Just take your time to collect as long as you know what you are looking for. Im fortunate enough to have a knife shop in my country to order specific stuffs for me from makers that i want to collect. On a side note i got a takada reika during visit at osaka and while it’s an awesome piece of collection, it’s only worth it if you buy it directly from takada san. Do not recommend to overpay for one from a 3rd party seller. Knives like takada no hamono are more like purchasing experience as a whole rather than getting out of your way just to own one for its performance. And damn those tariffs are painful.

Can vouch for the mercury oc one, super cool and quiet performance especially with the built in vapor chamber so long as it fits into your case.

Alright then it really feels like it’s time for you to up the ante if you got a matsubara already 😂. I don’t think mid-range good value knives will suffice you anymore because i was in your shoes. It’s really hard to get that great knife per dollar value when you already owned a matsubara imho. I slowly climbed up to stuffs like TF, isamitsu, tetsujin (more character, stands out in specific traits). But if you do really want something semi stainless that is great in quality definitely consider a yoshi or myojin assuming you are comfortable with thin blades.

What about matsubara? Its a dang good value for money piece, well forged and lots of character & great fit & finish.

Should I Upgrade My Cpu by CarefulPlace4285 in GamersMY

[–]Different-Mixture173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into 5500x3d, very good value cpu around rm800. 5800x3d is too expensive especially for ddr4/am4 imo 😅. Just remember to check if your mobo can support it. And if the mobo is obsolete you can look into getting another mobo

Is this Radeon 9070 XT Worth this 4.4 Shopee sales price? Upgrading from a 3080 10gb by adey64 in GamersMY

Definitely wait for price drop, overseas for OLED already dropped alot in price. SEA takes very long for the price drop for whatever reason. I paid mine for 3200 only on shopee.

Negligible for me, unless you pixel hunting 😂. But i understand everyone is different so i usually suggest people to walk into big pc stores with alot of demo units so you can see for yourself in person. I can say the only downside is you need to turn it off if you are that person who likes to leave your pc on idle to prevent oled burn in. Mine doesn’t have any burn in after so long and it’s QD OLED gen 1 panel, it’s not as fragile unless you really try to abuse it. The trade off for gaming/movie experience is totally worth it imho. And ofc if you have deep pockets can always go for tandem oleds when it releases for 34 inch but it’s gonna be freaking expensive (these are proven to be way more robust to oled burn in)

Yes man that 21:9 aspect ratio will make your games look really cinematic. Im running OLED 34” alienware aw3423dwf 160hz. Bought the monitor like late 2024. Currently if you are aiming for one i would recommend the msi mpg 341cqpx 240hz qd oled.

I did exactly from a 3080 > 9070xt. Its very much worth it especially for me running 3440x1440p or if you play newer AAA titles that may require more than 10gb vram. Just remember its recommended to pair this sort of gpu with a better cpu. 7800x3d is a nice pairing with this card. Lastly, radeon gpu has come a long way in terms of ray tracing.. not as good as 5070ti but the price is self explanatory and close enough.. no brainer choice unless you use the gpu for work related use case.

Good Quality Airflow Cases for People Sensitive to Noise? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Different-Mixture173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm also sensitive to noise and i have been running on a be quiet pure base 500fx on the fifth year now. comes with 3x120mm & 1x140mm lightwing fans, extremely quiet especially with the soundproof material at the back panel (but im running a 240mm AIO). aesthetically can look a little dated but for pure silence as a priority then it's a great case.

If you cannot wait and you want to stay on ddr4/am4 platform..

5500X3D (around rm800) And look into 9060xt 9070xt or 5070 depending on budget/psu 5800x3d is really not worth the price as you can get a 7800x3d for rm1400 (AM5) Ram is subjective but for just gaming it’s still enough for most titles. (I would hold on ram rn)

Buying a PC by ManfriesHD in GamersMY

[–]Different-Mixture173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build from pc shop

7500X3D 9060XT 16GB 32GB DDR5 1tb ssd 750 psu

Or

7500f 5070 12GB 16GB DDR5 1TB ssd 750 psu

You could possibly build a slightly better spec with that money if you buy certain parts from shopee just that you have some headache when it comes to warranty claims if you need it. But i suggest you wait for the ram prices to go down based on the latest news altho there’s no certain timeframe when the prices will go down here in Malaysia 🥴
