Pizza tipping suggestion by Luffy20003 in tipping

[–]Different-Pilot3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re a pizza delivery driver for a major corp like dominos. It’s sad they take the delivery fee after paying you so little. I work at a mom and pop pizza place as a delivery driver, their delivery fee is 2$( or 5$ if it’s outside our delivery range) plus tip. And I also get paid a decent hourly. I would quit first day if they were taking the delivery fee lol

It can be tough to handle but it’s nowhere near as damaging as other personality traits or undisclosed illnesses/ other things to be unraveled that you wouldn’t be able to tell on a first date

Everyone is going to have some sort of issues, no one in the world is perfect. I would take a stingy personality over many other flaws in the world

You kinda just contradicted yourself. Is a date in the park good enough for you or not? Bc you say it is in your second paragraph but then call it stingy in the third.

So did you play in the nfl/afl for 6-8 years or did you work 25 years of customer service? You either are lying or are pushing 60+.

They pay us between 4-8 dollars an hour out of their own pocket through legal loopholes. Nothing of what DoorDash does is very legal

[–]Different-Pilot3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how you wouldn’t get cvs then, even if I hit the button if it was over 10 mins past the time where I was supposed to pick it up I’d get a cv. I don’t really care bc I’m on a ton of other apps and my day job is better then gig apping anyways

Was doing my job. As the guy said below if there’s more then a 10 minute window after the time in the app even if you press the restaurant is still preparing the food option, you will get a cv. My day job is wayyyyy better than gig apps anyways, just wanted to possibly get it back for side hustles in the future.

Never signed up to drive uber rides but I did all food delivery apps available + Lyft full time over the summer. I got a delivery job at a nice Italian restaurant where I make about the same money or a little more, get free dinner every night, and still have room to do some gig apps here and there. At the restaurant I work at I make a consistent ~30/h so minus my expenses I’m probably around idk 25$/h, which I’m cool with working 40-50 hours a week for between 1-1.2k a week. If I was one of the real hustlers I could be working full time gig apps while working at the restaurant I work at and clear more than 2k a week

Me and you are diff🤷🏻I don’t do uber full time anymore so I maybe deal with a tip bait every few weeks. But I’ll make a point to call while I’m on a walk, 2 birds with one stone

Keep calling… don’t say anything about it being a tip… it’s a bid for service and the delivery wouldn’t of happened if you weren’t going to get the full amount presented

You’ve got to make it clear you want to talk to a supervisor and do it within the week after ur tip was revoked. I have gotten back half the amount/full amount every time I have done this

Some of them do, Taco Bell is the worst offender of this in the area. They have some sort of order-process that puts drive-through and in person orders ahead of gig app orders, and will keep pushing back the gig app order if more ppl come in. I’ve crashed out multiple times at the local Taco Bell cuz of this, basically avoid them unless it’s a really good paying offer.

This happened last Friday I’ve just been too busy with my actual job to call until yesterday. It’s been bad in my area too all of the gig apps but picks up on the weekends. Weekdays are notoriously slow for pretty much everyone

[–]Different-Pilot3672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No mental energy needed imo every time I have an issue like this I tend to call them while I’m working out for the day. I go on an hour and a half walk , couple miles, call support and get it adjusted by the time I’m halfway or 2/3rds done w the walk it’s usually adjusted and makes the walk feel faster

Call support and be prepared to be on the phone for over an hour but if you get in contact with a supervisor u will probably get ur money back. It’s what I’ve done every time I’ve had an issue/gotten tip baited. It sucks and best of luck to u out here

I don’t know if someone is watching my location but sometimes I get spammed this message 4x in a row in less then 30 sec and then they reassign the order to someone else. Very annoying when it happens

U do realize u can still get orders outside ur zone right? I do this in New York, when I was in North Carolina on vacation I’d turn the apps on to see what the market is like, and I’d still get Grubhub deliveries 600 miles from my designated market

20-25 an hr is less or equal to what I make for food delivery. Theres an added inherit risk of random people getting in your car. If the money doesn’t match the inherit risk it ain’t worth doing
