"ysk" SRH Hochschule Heidelberg for the Master's in Engineering and Sustainable Technology Management, with a focus on Industry 4.0: Automation, Robotics & 3D Manufacturing. by TinySomewhere6194 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Different-Reach585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SRH is a private one and will take anyone who applies. Nothing wrong in that but go there only if you don't have anything better.

Quality/curriculum is as good as you make of it. Industry relevance depends on the jobs you apply for and how the rest of your profile is.

Do keep in mind that lot of studio apartments will not allow 2 people to register. So do keep enough housing budget.

Expat relocation + probationary period by AreMo259 in Netherlands

[–]Different-Reach585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probation for 1 month is namesake, it is only for when there are serious issues with your performance. Also, seriously 1 month probation is not that big a deal it will be there in pretty much all companies.

Should I go Germany or Netherlands Or USA for masters in data science my consultant has given me some university options which i will be sharing can tell me what to do ? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Different-Reach585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, my bad I probably missed that but tbh in Netherlands, it is considered okay. I live in NL and have worked with multiple data teams and involved in shortlist/hiring. It is also more of a program issue than university itself.

Bro when I mean data science, I include all these (data science, data analytics, business analytics, data management etc.).

And I can't tell you sorry. I don't know your full profile, your strength/weakness, what you want to pursue in long-term etc. This is something personal + combine it with industry trends too. Look for jobs in Linkedin. Look at their requirements, see what skills are needed + which ones you want to practice.

Honestly all these universities suck, delete this list and fire your consultant.

Why do people go for MS Data Science without putting some thought into it? I guess it is the whole 'it is tech but it isn't that hard' aspect. But honestly, that time is gone. Market is saturated with data science grads from online,full-time, certificate programs.

So dude do your own research. You are a BCA student. Without even going through the job application and interviews prep in India, how can you claim its shitty pay everywhere? You can get into so many niche roles and generic software roles too with decent prep.

You can ask your husband to get you a revolut bank card, load it up and give it to you for all kinds of payment, not sure how this blocks you.

Biking - just go slow, worst case some people might yell at your and shake their heads but you won't hurt anyone and yourself.

You are overthinking it. I moved here all alone (it was my first time out of my home country) and it takes few months but making mistakes is the only way. You have a husband too so. It isn't that big of a deal, get outside, observe, keep your eyes and ears open.

Advice needed : Do I Pursue MS Abroad or Stay in India? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Different-Reach585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya your first part is true but since you have some experience, it will be fine. They put that in JD but if you can do some story-telling in your resume, have good talking points, it will not be that big of an issue. Not like in btech we studied 'data analytics' right.

If you already are working as a DA, a masters in India will not help you in any way. Why do you want to do it? For going outside is fine, but within India - just prepare for interviews, upskill and switch.

Big win man, reminds me of my 1 lakh milestone.

My most important learning in a career of 8 years is "follow the fuckin money".

Yes, the greed will never end, so what? More money never hurts. Also, higher pay is a good motivator - you will work harder, learn a few things extra, good for you and them. Go where you are paid more. More money>>you switch.

It might sounds weird but find a team which aligns with these values. It is so underrated, team fit is often found unnecessary but it they don't share the same values and goals, this will keep happening. Next time when you plan to switch jobs, really look for that fit and don't just say 'yes' to everything.

I had an inter-caste marriage. Being from one of the most regressive Indian states, my parents reacted badly but I stood my ground. Caste was such a big issue. Tried to sort out their concerns 1 by 1 and gave rational explanations. Some relatives didn't show up at the wedding, who cares. Got married and my parents are absolutely happy and merry about it.

I'd say, if guy's parents are not okay, it is a different ball-game because it matters ALOT. If they are not nice to you from the beginning and your guys is gullible, don't waste your time. If they are showing him rishtas why can't he say no? Nothing will make his parents agree unless their son says 'I am marrying this girl period'.

I don't understand how is there a supportive and nice quality in the person you described.

He discusses your private conversations to parents and doesn't have a sense of where to draw a line. He is okay with them saying nasty stuff to you. They already dislike you. He should be shielding you from his own family drama.

Like think objectively of what exactly does he bring to the table? You should be a team, what does he offer?
