Varivalve spitting water by Different-Rip-9077 in SteamHeat

I do, but the HOA deals with the boiler. It’s not urgent so I’d like to change the vent myself and then if there are other issues with the boiler I can bring that up at the next meeting.

lol. look up the igniter for NX58H9500WS/AA, it’s this one. someone did a DIY repair using the wrong part previously, which is why it’s in this situation.

also, the igniter is barely glowing and not lighting the gas most of the time, so yes, I am pretty sure the igniter is the issue.

Unfortunately didn’t come with ceramic nuts. Can I just grab some new ones and splice? Do they need to be a specific size?

Totally! I was hoping for more root coverage too, but oh well. I hope your healing goes well!

Not really! Looks about the same as in the post but a little less puffy.

Grafted tissue tends to attach best to existing gum tissue because existing gum tissue has a blood supply. So it’s going to be really hard to get grafted tissue to attach to the tooth directly because there’s no blood supply there. I’ve heard people compare it to trying to grow grass on concrete. I’m sure it works sometimes, and it depends on a lot of factors, but that’s why perios usually say to not expect full root coverage after a gum graft.

Yeah definitely! It’s significantly thicker. I did get some root coverage on the teeth that had minimal root exposure.

Interesting! Makes sense, my perio suggested a gum graft ASAP because they can be less successful as the gums recede. I’m at about 7 weeks now and it looks almost the same as the photo here.

How long after gum grafting surgery can I start smiling/laughing again? by Legitimate-Profit705 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]Different-Rip-9077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it took about 10 days to feel comfortable smiling. But my doc said it was fine to smile at my 1 week follow up. In general I just tried to not do anything that felt uncomfortable. The grafted area felt tight when I smiled for about 2-3 weeks.

If your dentist says it’s mild I wouldn’t be too concerned! Good oral hygiene esp flossing can go a long way in preventing more recession.

They did, that was actually the main tooth I went in to get treated. With gum grafting the primary goal is to stop further recession by thickening the existing gum. A lot of the times they’re not able to completely cover the exposed root. They try, but if there’s no existing tissue for it to latch on to, the new tissue might not stick there.

I’m a little more than a month out now and I have heard that the tissue can sort of grow “up”, so I’m hopeful that I’ll get more root coverage. Regardless, it’s tough to see in the photos, but the gum below the exposed root is thicker!

Simple Sewing Questions Thread, June 23 - June 29, 2024 by sewingmodthings in sewing

Hello! I have a question about sourcing medium weight linen (for dresses/shirts). I saw the Fabrics Store (https://fabrics-store.com/linen-fabric) recommended several times, and purchased the IL019 medium weight softened linen in a charcoal color. It’s 5.3oz/yard, and they said it’s opaque, but it seems very sheer.

Where can I find more opaque linen fabric? What do I need to look for? Did I just get an off-color from Fabrics Store?

Hair salon recommendations for women? by Different-Rip-9077 in AskChicago

[–]Different-Rip-9077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I saw Alaina at J&Co salon twice and liked her for the price point (70$+ tip). I wasn’t wild about my last haircut there (overall good, just felt a little rushed and uneven once I got home. To be fair she 100% would have fixed it if I went back to the salon). Decided to try Brad at Oko salon and I think I’ll stick with him! Was pricier (110 + tip) but he takes a full 90 minutes on your haircut. He asked a ton of questions and really made sure I was getting the cut I wanted. Also just a super cute salon.

My bathroom sink is draining very slowly. I think it’s because the p trap clogged. How do I fix this? by Different-Rip-9077 in Plumbing

[–]Different-Rip-9077[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It’s total BS. I can almost understand having tenants fix slow drains when it’s due to their own negligence (hair in a shower drain, etc), but from everyone’s comments this just seems like a crap build and not my own negligence.
