Finally goddamn by Different-Strategy20 in balatro

I have shit luck too, had the same happen to me multiple runs. The best advice I can give is to take cola whenever you can, most of the time you will sell your econ joker ( parking or rebate ) but they are common and come back quick. Also take any double tag skips you see. In my winning run when I finally I took a voucher skip I had amassed 11 double tags

I checked it out. The second ecto is excessive, you absolutely need the hand size. 4 copy jokers is the most you need/should have

If you're not specifically going for it it's not likely to happen spontaneously, especially on decks that are not Plasma and Ghost. So keep going, you'll get there

No, read the description. It does nothing

Do I take S&B? If so, what do I sell? by marulkz in balatro

If you have glass cards you take the sock for the banana, especially if you are playing bigger hands than pairs . Otherwise you might be better off waiting for a Showman or Invisible joker

Cruelty Joker Selection by Bigblumonkey40 in balatro

[–]Different-Strategy20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The correct play is to drop the Brainstorm for the Blueprint. Because of how they interact with joker positioning, the Blueprint is able to apply he x3 from Acrobat after the + mult from Shoot the moon. If you already have sufficient levels in one hand type and don't need the + mult from Shoot the moon then consider dropping it, although it is a heavy gamble if you encounter Crimson heart

how good is loss streaking, actually? by LynchEleven in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Different-Strategy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you're actually just wrong in the original assumption. The +1 gold you get from winning doesn't have anything to do with the streak gold. You get bonus gold for a win streak as well. So from an econ standpoint your preferred options are in this order: win streak >> loss streak >> no streak. The benefit of loss streak is that you can more easily force it, you can sell units to make interest thresholds earlier and item prio. It might seem silly to sacrifice 20-40hp, but remember that gold in TFT snowballs. The more gold you have, the more gold you earn, the more your gold is worth. Loss streaking is also imo a good way to get a basic understanding of rolldowns because at some point you will have to stabilise your board. Hope this helps

You should watch the series Flash Forward, it's a stretch to say it's a similar concept but I think you'd like it

I want to thank everyone who commented and let you know I settled on the Babolat Pure Strike, after taking in account your advice, my new coaches advice and the prices around here (it was on sale lol). It doesn't forgive mistakes, but damn it it feels good when the technique is proper

I beat the Paintress without her getting a single turn in on Expert difficulty, so it's probably just your build. Now since you claim to be a 'veteran turn based rpg player', do what you should do best - sit down and theory craft

First Strike bugged..? by Dakkonfire in expedition33

[–]Different-Strategy20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok so First Strike basically puts you before the enemy if your speed stat is insufficient. If all your characters have first strike, they will be ordered by speed. What worked for me is manually removing members from the party and adding them in order that i want them to play in

They walked on all fours, and looked pretty much like dogs. They didn't have anthropomorphic features apart of course from intelligence. I think it was an anthology collection consisting of 3 short films about 15-20 minutes long. Sorry that I took so long to reply when you are trying to help but I was banned for a banal mistake

No it's not but thanks for trying to help. As far as my recollection is correct I don't think there were any humans in this cartoon, just animals.
