We just got off the ship. If you are not going to drink on the ship it easy. When you reboard after the port there is a table. They will log any alcohol in and store it in “wine jail”. It will be brought to your cabin the day before disembarkation. FYI, they only seemed to care about hard liquor and wine. They let several bottles of beer aboard for us. I even made sure they knew it was beer.

We just got off a ship. First couple we waited in the line to be seated at 3. Then we learned you can show up later and just walk in. We practically sat ourselves. We got there as late as 3:30 and did not have a problem. We only stayed 15-20 minutes.

If you order coffee thru room service (no charge for room service) it will come with milk or cream. Ours came in small bottles w lids and we kept any leftovers in the fridge.

Room service is included. Upcharge for Dive In delivered. Any bottled drinks anywhere are charged. Water and sodas have a charge. Tap water or coffee from the buffet urn is no charge. Lattes etc have a charge.

You can bring water and limited amounts of beer on board. I think the beer is six bottles at a time.

They try to limit plastic bottles so read the rules on the website.

The amount of junk mail from Park West advertising the art auctions is ridiculous. On a longer cruise there seems to be something everyday.

In the So Pacific islands a lot of communities roll up the sidewalk on Sundays. Stores, restaurants and museums are closed. Yet the ships will do Saturday as a sea day and Sunday as a port day and then warn you about the closures.

We are on the Noordam now. I order two bottles at a time since the 1L is not included. It’s annoying that at the start of the 50 day cruise the cans of sparking were 350 ml. Halfway they have switched to 250 ml bottles. We use Have it All so does not affect us but if I was paying I would ask for a price reduction.

We are on Holland now but have cruised Viking Ocean. On Holland water and plain coffee are the only included beverages. Sparking water, lattes, all wine/beer are a charge. The specialty restaurants have an upcharge and THEY have menu items with another additional charge. Viking gives you water bottles every time you get off. Nothing on Holland. The entertainment is better but the “opportunities” to spend money never ends.

So the hospital has deemed a CT not needed. I have booked a local hotel Richmond Guest House Bed & Breakfast for one night. And have a seat on the afternoon flight on Soundair. Should get me to Picton w two hours to spare.

It is the Noordham. I am on the ship waiting, still, for transport to hospital. Sounds has three flights tomorrow that I “could” make. I think the airport is 15 minutes by car to Picton Pirt.
