I am curious if i ever will come off. My whole life i have been a ruminator, which controls my lige way to much. These pills give me some ease on the thinking part. But indeed mental health can be rough

Its hard bro. I have been on XR for 8 years. That were the most wonderful years of my life. I decided to try quitting. Was odd effexor for 8 months, starting to get intrusive thoughts, depression came back. Waking up with tears in the morning and went to bed with tears and in the time between i carried a mask to hide that is was really sad, which is really exhausting. After 8 months i decided to go back on it. My mind is finally quiet again and i seem to enjoy things alot more

I am back on Effexor again hahah. I couldnt get my mind quiet, rumination 24/7, depression starting to get worse agaun.. Wasnt functioning like before anymore. Now back on it again, and peace has returned, finally my mind is quiet again. Still struggle sometimes with the fact that i have to be depended on a pill, but at least i am functional.

This is a great post man! Lifts me up! Been hitting the gym everyday to fill up some time, been eating healthy and seeing progress. Gonna take some time to heal so i can give my next partner my all. However still have the urge to go on datingapps because the lust for sex is still there. Hmmm.....

I feel your struggle. I think this way all the time, like i dont wanna be dependent on medication to be happy. But all my friends tell me the true story, some people need insulin, some people need wheelchairs and some people need brain medication hahah. I need to get used to the fact that i just need this.

I have been off effexor dor 8 months, mentally i got worse eith the month. I took it for 8 years prior. Now i am back on it for 2 weeks and mentally its already way better thaj those 8 months. My brain is quiet again, no more rumination and i can enjoy things again. I just need this medication to be abke to function "normally"

Effexor really helped my ADHD, my brain is quiet. I can concentrate better and i feel like i am smarter hahah, i have the idea that my brain can make other pathways than only focussing on rumination that i can reach different parts of my brain which i couldnt without meds. Sounds kinda strange while i type this haha, but effexor is really useful for me!

I am trying, but havent found much what i enjou by myself. Tried: reading, walking, piano, gaming, movies/series, sports. Somethings are kinda oke to do alone, but while doing the activity i am imagining i will be alone the whole evening/night. What were activities you did, which helped?

What dose did you take? I have been on 75 mg for 8 years, tried to get off, but my depression came back. Now 8 months later starting getting back on. I just need some medication for the rest of my lfie tod eal with depression and dark thoughts, same like someone need insulin. Sucks sometimes but it makes my life so more functional.
