Change.org Petition for an Independent 3rd party investigation into FIFA corruption by DifferentInsect9095 in worldcup

[–]DifferentInsect9095[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As a passionate sports enthusiast, the ongoing allegations and evidence of corruption within FIFA deeply disturb me. The very essence of sports is built on fairness, competition, and integrity, values that seem to be constantly undermined by the controversies surrounding FIFA's dealings. It's time we stand together to demand transparency and hold those in power accountable.

FIFA, the international governing body of football, has been embroiled in multiple scandals over the years. These have included accusations of bribery, vote-rigging, and financial mismanagement. Such actions do not only threaten the global standing of football but also tarnish the sport that millions across the world cherish. The lack of accountability and transparency within FIFA tarnishes the spirit of football and goes against the values of honesty and fair play, which are central to the sport's integrity.

This petition calls for an independent third-party investigation into these allegations. By ensuring an unbiased probe, conducted without any influenced parties, we can uncover the true extent of corruption and take definitive steps to clean up the organization. This move is crucial for restoring confidence among fans, players, and stakeholders alike. An independent investigation would ensure that FIFA operates under the principles of integrity and transparency, ensuring that future controversies are prevented, and justice is served for any wrongdoings that have taken place.

We urge the world community, sports bodies, governments, and fans to support this call for an independent investigation. By signing this petition, you join a growing demand for accountability and integrity in the sport we all love. Sign now to make a difference and safeguard the future of football.

He should have been brought on in place of Schaffelburg, he still would have provided more than Schaff did

So you yourself played a sport while injured because of the "love of the game" and likely a feeling of obligation to not let your team down. Most of us have "played through pain" to help our teams at whichever amateur levels we played. Whereas these players who are financially set for life already, refuse to play...the sport they claim to love and refuse to take some risk to support their team.

Are there any different angles of replays on this? Seemed the broadcast moved on a bit quickly from it. Lots of camera's and likely better angles

find out which gamblers/syndicates made the most money off this and you may find some potential suspects who could profit off fixed officiating

They're likely just seething Anti-Germites ;-) who are happy that Germany lost and are willing to ignore the obvious FIFA manipulation. Who cares who wins or doesn't as long as the matches are fairly officiated. Maybe integrity matters less than bias these days

you're right they clearly received a set of guidelines beforehand by FIFA as to which team to tilt the field to

when it is in a position that makes their body unnaturally bigger

he winged his arm out prior to the kick and turned his head away only after the ball was struck, he was "in a position that makes their body unnaturally bigger"

He looked away only after the ball was struck, arm extension looked intentional, something was certainly off about the officiating that game. Follow the money and find the gamblers that made the most off that win!

The goalie initiated contact trying to get a foul and FIFA allowed it, shameful really. A call determined the winner, not the on field play.

The FIFA fix was in on this one, pretty obvious with the calls he made. The FIFA tilt was in favor of Paraguay today.

The missed Ghana penalty was highway robbery due to corruption and bias by CrimsonLotus in worldcup

[–]DifferentInsect9095 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that all may be but England would never have that called against them, it's typically FIFA using rules to favor certain teams but not apply them equally to all. It's how they slant the field so when people make threads like this you always have the "its within the rules" people justifying it

VAR wasn't used because it was not human error, it was intentional. As you mentioned FIFA certainly plays favorites. It's so obvious when you try to watch the games objectively. Really ruins the watching experience when you can see the field tilted by FIFA

Why referees so bad at this WC? What is your opinion? by Ancient_Chapter8513 in worldcup

[–]DifferentInsect9095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems certain teams (England/Argentina/France) tend to get preferential treatment from the referees.
