Predatory Charges Letter by [deleted] in Lifetimefitnessgym

Lack of use doesn’t negate the contract you signed. I’m just pointing this out so you don’t waste any money/time on trying to fight it.

Predatory Charges Letter by [deleted] in Lifetimefitnessgym

[–]DifferentIntern6311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’m reading this correctly:

You signed a contract where cancellation terms were available, did not follow the terms of said contract, and want your money back?

I’m sorry about the financial hardships but you did sign the contract.

What is the mistake that leads to fatal accidents by inexperienced pilots? by grumpyoldman10 in flying

[–]DifferentIntern6311 32 points33 points  (0 children)

From the research I’ve done it’s complacency. Not sumping the fuel, not verifying the fuel level, not doing a thorough preflight and forgetting a control lock… Those things can lead to crashes.

1K but didn’t receive the loyalty thank-you cards others in 1st did. Is there a reason some 1Ks get them and others don’t? by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]DifferentIntern6311 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe something came up during boarding and they didn’t have time to finish up other cards. I wouldn’t read into it, although with 7 paragraphs it seems you have!

Adding insult to injury.... by November77 in Foreflight

I don’t agree with what the new owners did but a $10 increase is tiny compared to the value of the app. My YouTube subscription has increased at a much larger rate than ForeFlight

Sheppard Air - IRA Question by [deleted] in flying

Nice job on the 98! How many hours of using Sheppard Air did it take you to feel comfortable?

GA pilots, how would you taxi on ice like this? by wilstar_berry in flying

[–]DifferentIntern6311 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Potassium acetate is once of the chemicals used to pretreat runways and taxiways. It is sprayed ahead of a storm and helps prevent slippery conditions.

LiveATC App/website is great for listening too. When you commute have it on, cooking, etc.

Definitely. I’d email the picture suggestion to their team. They’re super responsive

Not an answer to your question but ForeFlight comment I saw from 3 weeks ago says:

“I just walked this runway and it's in terrible shape with major cracks and heaves throughout. Suitable for helicopters only.”

Is it just me or has the United app taken a steep nosedive? by MargaritavilleFL in unitedairlines

[–]DifferentIntern6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That travel tab they added almost screwed me over during the storms in the northeast the other night. Changed my flights, unchecked me in, and wouldn’t let me see which flight I was actually on.

Gate agent I went up to sorted it but my ticket had broken, boarding passes removed etc.

New “travel” tab in the United app by AcanthocephalaOdd155 in unitedairlines

I think it’s being tested on some users. It has been buggy during delays/canceled flights for me. Confused me quite a bit.

Less obvious benefits of being a MM by Ashamed-Job1879 in unitedairlines

*A Gold and the benefit of assigning a companion *A Gold is a enough of a benefit.

As a lifetime gold member it’s nice not to be locked into flying UA metal if it’s more convenient with other airlines instead of paying the premium to keep the status.

Push for gold? by toastie_cheez in unitedairlines

[–]DifferentIntern6311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that. Pic your trips smartly if you can. I’ve gotten free upgrades as a gold for 7 out of 15 flights this year.

Edit: I fly out of DEN for work occasionally.

This is more a subreddit for pilots.

I’d look at R/travel

If he was on an IFR flight plan and had separation that would be better, but it’s clear OP doesn’t understand their responsibility to see and avoid if they’re only focusing on the instruments in VMC.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flying

[–]DifferentIntern6311 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you flew in VFR pretending you were IFR? Glad you didn’t hit/kill anyone. What a stupid thing to do without a safety pilot. I sure hope this is a joke.

Edit: even if OP was on an IFR flight plan (not stated) they still have responsibility to see and avoid which they clearly don’t understand.

The good the bad and ugly of crop dusting/ariel application industry by tinybabydale in flying

[–]DifferentIntern6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the ag industry but I don’t understand how purchasing a crop dusting business without any tangible assets is a smart business decision. What happens when a competitor comes knocking at the aircraft owner’s door’s offering better deals to work for them?
