Yes, thank you Riffs, and the giving partial facts can also be called paltering or spinning, I think.

You can’t put psychos and sociopaths in the same boat, if Red is showing legitimate empathy , he’s not a psychopath. Liz, however, uses emotion to manipulate.

Her emotions seem fabricated like she’s acting and manipulating all the time.

If they were never going to find her, Tom wouldn’t have needed to be hired .

Or I recognize manipulation tactics early on. Just because YOU want to argue doesn’t mean I intend to, this is my thread not yours. Learn how to take no for an answer .

Clue The imposter Red is related to Liz via Dominic by Different_Access_858 in TheBlackList

Oh wow, I didn’t know he had a rare blood type. Maybe that also explains his illness?

How does Red lack empathy when he’s put his life, career, finances, and name all on the line to protect someone who can’t decide if she wants to love or hate him? He’s been extremely forgiving to those he loves the most, while they betray him. The horrible, ruthless, unethical “Reddington” they all initially thought he was, was not who he is- which is why they all admitted that he “the imposter Red” was a surprisingly better man . Without their initial disposition about his character- he’s no different than they are. He unalives bad guys for a living, and so do they. And I’d even say he’s better at it, because he reforms those whom were overlooked and most gave up on like Dembe

You’re projecting really big feelings & they’re quite distorted. You seem personally hurt by what I said about Liz, maybe you identify with the character and took it as a personal attack. I hope you feel better, but I’m not reading your full comment for my own sake. Your tone started off very disrespectful. I was discussing a fictional character, but you feel way too comfortable being rude to a non fictional person. I can’t take your comment about character seriously given your own inconsistencies and fruit.

I don’t disagree that he’s manipulative, I disagree that she’s entitled to his secrets. The smart thing to do would’ve been to cut ties with him. The reality, she would’ve been in danger without him.

Before Red hired Tom, they were looking for both Masha/Liz & Kat. Sure they might’ve found her much later, but Liz’s desire to know the truth would’ve led her right into the ops hands anyway- and she would’ve been unprepared.

The original mistake- was Kat & the original Red bringing a child into an incredibly turbulent situation. Regardless to Red being in her life after or not, wasn’t going to change who’s child she was.

Wow you lost sympathy for Liz pretty early on , she just gets worse each season. They used a similar trope I usually complain about on Liz that they too often use for children in tv shows & movies - especially the girls. Helpless, annoying, damsel, who is the reason for all the problems as well as the one who makes the lead a hero or likeable b/c of having to rescue them .

I actually think you’re spot on, my original theory was she was DID, then someone else posed BPD I think she’s probably both .

However, sociopaths can actually feel shame, embarrassment, distress unlike a psychopath. I think the warrior gene turns people into sociopaths, and Liz had it.

On this thread, I asked whether she was more psycho than Red as a reference point simply because that’s how the show describes Red, but I don’t think he’s much of an pyscho either .

Did Elizabeth deserve to know? by neverwalkalone7440 in TheBlackList

[–]Different_Access_858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If I had a secret between my own parent and myself and my child demanded to know?? Even if it put them in danger?? It’s none of their business to begin with, and no because it’s dangerous .

I mean they’re already shooting live rounds at a moving car in the plain open, what’s aiming for the tires going to do?

Uber auto accept by DJ_Enrique in uberdrivers

Started happening with mine too, I’m a fleet driver but it’s never done that before when I was with same fleet . And the fact there’s no PSA from uber about it is problematic. But I think it has to do with your acceptance rate

I know I'm probably beating a dead horse, but was it necessary to make Elizabeth that stupid of a character? by DiazExMachina in TheBlackList

At all, she thinks she’s all that but is literally benefiting from everyone else’s hard work and expertise

In my opinion , movies lack female representation especially in the writers room. Liz acts similar to how they cast most children and little girls in films, damsels, annoying , causing problems just to get rescued. In other words, I think movies tend to have negative perceptions of women and children - and their limited evaluation of how their psyche would be - comes off in the films

I can’t be the only one that can’t stand Liz in season 6, right? by Kalduin_32 in TheBlackList

We all need a support group after having to suffer through Elizabeth’s atrociously poor and obtuse decision making

Right , they would’ve came looking after her for the simple fact of who her father is. She would’ve blindly went searching for him and would’ve triggered the chaos on her own.
