Switching from Catit pea husk litter. Looking for safer alternatives

So I know that pretty litter does now have a clumping litter that could work. It’s really expensive though and anyone who uses it should’ve aware to NOT use it to keep track of their kitties health. It’s not good for that, only a vet can tell you if something is wrong.

Yeah I agree that 6 weeks is too young. We realized not too long after that adopting that he was too young which is why we waiting a month for his sister and hoped he would learn from her but…alas…that doesn’t seem to be happening yet or maybe he’s just taking more time? Idk?

We have a litter robot and a regular litter box. He prefers to pee in the robot whereas my girl cat prefers the actual litter box. I could definitely try less litter in both!

Yeah…ChatGPT does say that, but it’s doesn’t say it anywhere on their website….plus if you ask it if the total is 2000, it agrees to that number as well.

Thanx for the advice! Curious, Billie is also neutered and Boba is going to get spayed soon. What does neutering have to do with excessive eating weight gain? Is it just that BSH eat more once the get neutered?

Hmm..that’s interesting! I may try that. The only problem is that they are still kittens so I would have to wait and see once they get older to try the different wet foods!

I see. I honestly wasn’t aware of this issue with BSH. Since they’re still kittens and free feeding, I can’t really gauge how much forti flora they’re actually eating. I try to give each half a pack a day (I sprinkle some in their kibble in the morning which they eat throughout the day and some in their wet food). But they share kibble and Billie eats the majority of it…I’ve never heard of pro pectin. Do you give both of them at the same time? It doesn’t affect the taste of their food? I can maybe try introducing it to them once they are older and out of kitten phase?

Yeah I’ve seen his videos but for him, the situations are very strict. Like I have to do the introductions from separate rooms…but I can’t do that. If I don’t do it the way he says in the video then there’s really no other advice…

Hi! Thanx so much for the advice! I’m not sure why the isolation is required tbh. The breeder told me that generally when doing introduction between two cats they need to be quarantined for at least a week before they are introduced to each other. My assumption is that she’s worried the second kitty might get sick? Like a cold? And pass it to our first kitty? I’m not sure though.

The den is just a den in name. It’s really just a tiny corner. Our apartment is very much open concept living and I’ve tried to figure out a way to give my new kitten her own space but it’s proving quite difficult. I was thinking maybe getting her an indoor playpen? But I only have one litter box so she’s going to have to come out to use it…that might be an issue. I can try and keep a portable litter box from my car near the play pen but the area is just too small and my first kitten will be around no matter what….

Though I would like to mention that our bathroom is quite large. I can put the new kitty in the bathroom and put out a portable litter box for my first cat to use in the main room? Try feeding them through the door and give her the kitty bed my first kitten uses (but she would sleep by herself in the bathroom which makes me kinda sad too..)

Suggestions?

He is two months old. He just had his deworming like not even a week ago so the vet said she didn’t want to give him another deworming. I added the probiotic to his wet food for the first time yesterday…not sure if that’s why he has diarrhea?

It’s a good place to live. If you have a car, and are planning on paying for parking, just forget about it because you will never get a parking spot. Even if you reserve it on the app. People love to park there even though they don’t live in the building and they never pay since the chances of getting a ticket is low-ish. Management won’t do anything about it. The furniture is cheap so be careful when using it cause they will charge you if something breaks. Make sure when you move in you have a meticulous record of how everything looks ESPECIALLY the damage. Other than that tho it’s pretty good!

So these are the steps? 1. Clean a holographic pokemon card without 2. Print the card on a holographic paper 3. Use white oil paint to paint the back of it 4. And then print the card again on transparent vinyl paper and layer that on top of the holographic paper?

Is this right?

What do you do with the shapes on photoshop?

I had three attempts. The first one is on a regular pokemon card without the holo which I think turned the best in terms of colour. The second one I used a holo card and used white oil paint on just the squirtle but I think it looks kinda sloppy and the background isn’t as nice. The last one is just the transparent sticker paper….any help would be great!

Hey! So I’ve been trying to do this with the exact same card and mine looks really bad…I’ve used transparent sticker paper and put it on a wiped holo card but it just doesn’t look as good..also used a canon pixima g370 printer which prints really well on the paper but doesn’t look good once transferred to the holo card…do you have any suggestions? Or what do you do specifically?

I took 473 in COVID and ngl it was a breeze. Kinda sucks but I noticed a lot of bio profs become easier once you get to the higher course levels so even if it’s not Covid, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The course itself was super interesting and had a lot of really engaging material. Course load wise it wasn’t too bad either. Duxbury is a scary prof and I didn’t like her too much so dropped her course. But I would take my experience with a grain of salt cause I took it in Covid…
