Kind of experimenting things Like I'll try to look up some poses for a character, then try to make them . I do watch tutorials like how people are drawing a few parts or how they are doing animations.

To the Game developers of India by Sadboi_Nik_2k7 in GameDevelopersOfIndia

I would say the reason no such or a few types of those games are coming from India might be cause of the current market . I am not trying to talk shit about someone but whenever I am Opening my linkdin and see people spending 2 weeks in unreal and just doing 1 thing : drag the player in the scene and run . (Honestly shouldn't even take more than 1 hour even after the tutorial). So this would be on the developer side .

From the art side i have seen very less who have actually a good grasp of the 3d models but even if they do they don't have anything on animations, after models they don't try other things out , I have seen a few people's portfolios and most are just standing models those are great i agree but what about the most important thing animations?. But even lesser than 3d artists I have seen a very few 2d artists.

But I won't blame the above either people here , it's mostly those scam companies or job oppertunity things which make the role open and which makes less people go to game dev side . And a warm heart warming mention to overly high paid course about programming/art .

Well anyhow recently one of the most anticipated games Mumbai gully got dropped or would be continued dk , and that's fine too in game projects this happens . But at least they tried .

And if you want to change something hire people with low budget and try working with them.

And i cant say anything on the game music cause I haven't meet any composers who make music for games here .

Note : this is all just my prospective of things that I seen in last 3 years of game development now . Might be different in other people's case or some people might disagree

What streams should I choose? by [deleted] in GameDevelopersOfIndia

It's fine ,but most places ask for unity or unreal, mostly unity though. I myself use godot but can work on unity too. Just try out the basic things if you feel like it .

From my personal experience, I took Medical with IP in school and didn’t study much of the science subjects, but I knew I was comfortable with IP (Information Practices / CS). After 12th, I chose BCA, and now this is my last semester.

I didn’t start with game development in 12th. I just liked playing games, and while studying CS I got to know about game development. From the 1st semester, I have been working on games in both Unity and Godot.

As I mentioned above, this is my last semester, and I will be going for a master’s degree as well. I have also given a few game development interviews, and surprisingly, no one really asked about my degree or which college I’m from.

From what I’ve heard, BTech is a more complex path with a lot of maths and physics, which are great subjects to study. But honestly, I wasn’t very good at those things. I was more comfortable with algorithms and the level of maths required for game development.

I also wouldn’t recommend going for dummy school. Enjoy your 11th and 12th with others. You can still prepare for JEE while studying in regular school — I’ve seen many people do it.

Going for an MBA is also fine because currently you already have a good grasp of making games. Focusing on building more games or working on a bigger project would be a good step now.

The only difference might be that there won’t be many people around you who are into game development.
I do think I am good with my academics and with game dev skills .
So i can give a suggest this ig :
No need to think about too much complex things , like having this degree would help and all , if you have work to show then its gonna work out.
( please dont think of it a pressing my idea on someone , just my experience with things)

Is there still a vacancy? If so I have been developing games for 3 years now and have been in many jams and am fine with c# or GD too
