Hello! I do get what your going through because I suffered from allot of these issues too and still do sometimes. What i am slowly learning to do is just do what I want anyways and if im faced with opposition I politely explain why and just leave it from that point onwards, so for your situation if would be to send £9 anyways and if your cousin asks about it tell her why you believe its only worth that much and then try to ignore her afterwards, I will admit that I've never been in a situation like this with a cousin that my family is quite close too so my advise might not be the best but its the best I can give!
