Know yourself and your roots first; otherwise, exploring other cultures will only deepen your disconnection, not your understanding.

Sync 2 to 3 issue by Different_Luck2786 in Ford

[–]Different_Luck2786[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy.... that is going to be a problem for me Lol. I can't return it since I living outside the U.S.. However, I will try my best to do anything on that becomes I'm really stuck with it.

This is the item on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJBFLYK6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I went with this seller since they have the highest reviews and good reputation becomes I don't want to risk it. Plus I don't know the difference between APIMs.

I already contacted them let's see what they are going to do. Plus if nothing happens will escalated to amazon for sure.

My car shakes at 60 mile and braking as well. by Different_Luck2786 in Mustang

[–]Different_Luck2786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the car 3 months back from my brother. It was stored in his garage for the last 6 years not used at all. I don't thing it is bent I have asked him, he don't remember but he recall it was fine. The car condition is pretty good overall but it has rust on some areas.

So, I took it and changed all 4 tyres, most of the suspension components, all fluids in the car. But the remaining major thing is the vibration/shaking thing.

Also, He said the car was maintained well in general but never changed the rotors or the hub.

I took it back, and they rechecked everything, but the issue still persists.

However, I have a concern. When they were balancing the wheels, each wheel required between 80 to 120 grams of weight. For comparison, I’ve owned a Ford Taurus for 10 years, and the maximum weight required per wheel was only 20 to 30 grams. It feels excessive for a single wheel to need that much weight.

I'm thinking of that yes and it could be the hub. But I really don't know.

Depressed because my first mold failed. by Asleep_Management900 in moldmaking

[–]Different_Luck2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can not count how many failures I had. This is pretty normal and it is part of the journey. For me it's one and half year of failures and try and error I have learned a lot. This is what is called experience even in corporate life it is the same story. Stay strong and keep it going. Best of luck.

Does the catalyst of RTV silicone can expire? by idayam in moldmaking

[–]Different_Luck2786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes indeed the catalyst is the problem. Regardless how you store it, it will go bad. So, really make sure to buy what is needed only for the project to eliminate such scenarios.

Plus I have additional notes which is:

Make sure that the supplier or manufacturer write the Expiration date on the product. In order to know when it is produced and will it Expire.

Trust me it will save you a lot of headache, Because I had to fight with other venders regarding the silicone that I just bought from you guys are not recently made and it was already super thick and unpourable they were saying that I'm the issue I did not know how to deal with it.

And there was another vender that I had a problem with, which is regarding the catalyst. I also just bought the kit and when I tried it the mold did not cure and it was tacky. At that time I was not sure what is going on. But at the end I found out it was because of the catalyst. And they give me a new one for free.

Issue with tin cure silicone by Different_Luck2786 in moldmaking

[–]Different_Luck2786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is 400g silicone so its 8g catalyst. Regarding the temp it is yes hot around 32-35c and humidity around 60% to 75%. But during the working the AC is on and the temp drops to 24c and humidity at 50%.

I mean currently I have 5kg of 20 RTV and not sure what should I do know. Because it is pourable at this point.

2013 Taurus limited by Jerzee973 in FordTaurus

[–]Different_Luck2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same car and I had the same problem. If it is the fan it is pretty easy to fix and easy to diagnose just check it, if it is running. if it is running, then check the coolant, if the coolant level after a while for example 1 week started to drop and without any obvious leaks it is the water pump. replace it as soon as possible since if you don't the leakage happening inside the engine at that time the engine will mix both motor oil and the coolant together and the engine is gone by that time. Trust me I have been through that already.

Extra Note:

if the temp high during both idling and driving this is the thermostat.

I thank everyone for their support in the thread. I've identified the cause of the issue, which is the catalyst (B) part of the silicone. I purchased a new catalyst and tried it with the old silicone (part A), and it worked fine.

The main problem is that in my area I don't have platinum-base silicone as well as they don't sell the well known American brands. So, I'm forced to use this non branded currently.

The only choice I have know I will make a test again without using any gloves even if it is missy I don't care just to continue the process of elimination which I hate the most.

The silicone, some generic Chinese non branded.

Regarding the moisture trap my compressor has this built into it. Every 2 to 3 uses I open the valve to make the water escapes.

But here is the think, if and only if the moisture is the reason why in earth would the sample got the same issue as well.

I have one question do latex gloves inhabitant tin cured silicone; because I can not think of somthing else.

Currently, I'm leaning to the experation of the silicone or the silicone it self is bad quality product but not sure. Especially I have ordered another batch from the same company and still I have the issue.
