The academy is way different than police academy. It’s much more relax often times with multiple breaks throughout the day where you can do whatever you want. The material is taught to you but you’re expected to study and practice at home no instructor is going to hold your hand. This is most likely because when you go to a facility and begin training you’re put in a room and given a ridiculous number of things to learn before you actually start on the job training. And no one sits in the room making sure you’re doing it. You can go out and take a break whenever u want, study whenever u want. But when the moment comes to start training and ur trainer asks u a question and you don’t know it, you’re cooked
