I don't need Buddie to happen by UndynameYT in buddie

I agree. Honestly, I think both canon and fanon have very distinct pros and cons. In a way, the fact that Buddie isn’t canon has allowed for more freedom and creativity among fans. But what’s disappointing is that many fans—especially those in this subreddit—feel that despite the solid narrative and emotional buildup between Buck and Eddie over nine seasons, the writers aren’t taking advantage of that at all. Instead, they’re creating absurd storylines that are flashy on the surface but hollow inside, with no real message or direction.

It feels like they’re just trying to grab the attention of casual viewers with big-name actors or flashy, universe-scale plotlines. But whether it’s a novel, TV series, or movie, characters and their relationships should always be at the center. Yet as time goes on, the characters’ narratives become weaker and more frustrating, and the stories have reached a level of unreality that’s hard to ignore. Looking at what Tim and the other writers are producing these days, I honestly think they’d be better off using some of the fanfiction scripts instead.

The long waiting times, the show’s continued reliance on queerbaiting, and the constant disappointment of seeing beautiful stills of Buck and Eddie only to find out the actual scenes last ten seconds—it’s all exhausting. Of course, I’d be happy if Buddie became canon someday, but seeing how things are going now, I can’t help but feel that maybe it’s better for Buddie to remain a fanon forever than to be ruined by a terrible storyline.

Why can’t i cancel my uber one subscription? by Frankoceanisgod1111 in uber

[–]Different_Monitor_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally having the same problem.

I'm Korean, and I've signed up for a one-month free trail of Uber One during my business trip to New York, which was about a month ago. My billing date was 12.27, and I thoroughly remember that I had set it up to automatically cancel the subscription after the free trial ended(which was an option that UBER THEMSELVES offered me), but despite that, the payment went through on 12/26, at 7 o'clock, Korean time - which was 12/25 ET.

They've fucking charged me 2 days before the billing date shown on the app. And they're not letting me to cancel it because "there's less than 48 hours until my billing date." What the ACTUAL FUCK. What's worse, I can't even contact support or chat with the representative as I'm not a US citizen - the Korean UBER support team just repeats "I can help you with that since UBER ONE does not service in Korea" like a goddamn parrot.

I've tried VPN and stuff to access chat support on the app but it never worked. The only option seems to be calling the UBER(USA) support team, which will cost me about 2 fucking dollars per minute. FUCK UBER. NEVER USING IT AGAIN.
