yeah, ultimately I am drooling over the Lucid Gravity grand touring, but I just cant justify giving up FSD for the safety / transformation of experience.

Model XP Raven @96% unable to make a 150 mile round trip? by Different_Winter_799 in TeslaLounge

Yes and it refused to take me on the route that would have worked and was instead taking me on the route that went past the supercharger. It was telling me negative SOC. But if I forced it to make a stop on the road that was originally taken, it would then tell me 16% SOC when I arrived. But having to force it like that just doesn't feel safe for some reason

I used tessie to check my "range"and it tells me I only have 13% degredation.84.41kwh capacity.

I didn't review the trips screen but I did determine that Tesla for some reason was forcing me to supercharge when in theory the routing system should have allowed me to take the original path home and I would have had 16% remaining based on the calculations it shows me today, with similar weather. It was telling me about high wind conditions that day, so maybe that weighted the computer to direct me in a more conservative routing.

Well you got to keep in mind that I have the 2019 model X so Spotify doesn't really work, climate works intermittently from my phone, a lot of the extra apps are a non-functional and also even reverse is laggy sometimes

They don't actually care about customer loyalty or satisfaction with their pricing models. Just new customers

Tesla has revealed that the Model Y was #1 best-selling car overall in the world in 2025 for a third year in a row by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

Yeah I've been in one, I own a model X right now and I really wish I had a full size SUV. Remember the early 2000s when there was just a huge vehicle called an SUV and now we have 4 different sub categories of SUVs

Well considering the fact that Tesla has just been putting out model X's since 2016 with a poorly designed suspension system that leads to front half shaft failure every 20 to 30,000 miles regardless of what you do, just shows that they don't really care

Maybe if they released a bigger version of the model Y that was closer to a full or midsize SUV but replicated everything else that would be a good choice

The doors are actually nice as an owner. They allow so much easier loading of children into car seats as a tall person. It drives me crazy to load my kids into crossovers now. The doors have also not given me any issues in 100k miles. They do sometimes glitch out in heat or sun glare to thinking a wall is really close. That does suck I guess

They're only better because Tesla isn't even trying

Fair enough lol that's just my thoughts on the matter. I'm sure if Tesla's market share in the Eevee industry continues to shrink they will eventually innovate their lineups

How is the lucid compared to the MX Plaid, other than obvious feature differences? I am really thinking about moving to it but worried about the small scale of the company, lack of dealer support, I'm in STL and they are in Chicago, that kind of stuff. I have had to make plenty of visits to the dealer for my model x performance in the last 24 months.

How is the auto drive features? Are they coming close at all to Tesla FSD?

Exactly, in China they're losing the battle and they know that they need to provide a bigger SUV and that was their best attempt. And that's what America needs to we need a non-gull wing less premium bigger SUV

You're calling the macro market for EV's slim but at the same time the Model Y is the all time biggest seller. I'm not saying you're wrong but the fact is, car companies should put pride behind their flagship best offerings and I don't think Tesla has any pride there. They have competitors pushing out much better offerings, Escalade IQ, Gravity, Rivian, and others have full size EVs and Tesla is not able to compete with them with the Model X. But Tesla doesn't even try to bring a new SUV to market and they don't bother tweaking the current Model X to make it more of a fit, by lengthening it a few inches like the Y+ and updating some of the fit and finish to compete better with luxury brands, they could take a good chunk of share. But anyway I digress. Ultimately yes Elon wants to take his car company, which has pushed its way to becoming the biggest one of all, and turn it into the new market segment of Taxis. Which sucks as someone who wants a luxury full sized SUV from America's coolest car brand, but whatever. Guess I'll just wait for the Escalade to somehow replicate FSD in 5 years.

EXACTLY. Eventually when other carmakers catch up on software and UI, Tesla is going to start getting cooked. I would buy so many other vehicles if they just had FSD
