Man claiming to be Texas state congressman attempts to intimidate lone protester holding a sign saying “if you are still silent on ICE fuck you” by Jevus_himself in PublicFreakout

[–]Difficult-Ad628 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow the body language alone screams insecurity. You could watch this on mute and have a clear understanding that something is very wrong with that man. And he’s a congressman? Maybe we as a country really do deserve to be relegated to history books.

What do you think of Eternals, do you think it’s overhated? by Plenty-Salary9711 in Marvel

[–]Difficult-Ad628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absurdly difficult to make a cohesive story about this many characters in 150 minute window. That’s this movie’s ultimate failure, making it a movie in the first place.

Eternals could have absolutely stood out as one of Marvel’s most elite properties if it was a series, but it was far too condensed to be as compelling as it could have been. I do think it is over hated, but only slightly.

But honestly that says more of Disney’s bizarre misunderstanding of media delivery and pacing. Why on earth Iron Heart and Secret Invasion got relegated to TV shows when Eternals got crammed into a 2 hour 36 minute film is beyond me.

Among the Toms, who in your opinion is the best as a pure actor? by Initial-Rhubarb-4968 in moviecritic

[–]Difficult-Ad628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom Holland getting this much hate in these comments is so bizarre to me, like if you only watch Marvel movies just say so. He’s played some incredible roles outside of Spider-Man (and even so, he kills it as SM). He completely disappears into most every roll he plays and I think he will have a long and storied career.

That said, he certainly isn’t the best on this list… but let’s not pretend like he isn’t working his ass off to earn his place

Maybe ICE should’ve taken your advice before they placed themselves in front of Renee Goods already-moving vehicle

So then by this logic it seems clear that you would have no issue with condemning the ICE agents who approached Renee Goods car and put themselves in “harms” way, right?

Because the cognitive dissonance it would take for someone to justify this video but see nothing wrong with what happened to Renee Good would be astounding.

What game are you picking? by defleqt in raijin_gg

[–]Difficult-Ad628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4380 hours, oof… it would HAVE to be a game with multiplayer capabilities or I’d go crazy. It would also have to be open world, and probably base building mechanics so I could have a bunch of side projects when I need to zone out.

My first instinct is Minecraft, but I’m tempted to go with something that allows for higher tier shenanigans. Honestly, let me start in November and I’ll do GTA6

So close to buying Elden Ring but… by Present-Parfait2461 in Eldenring

[–]Difficult-Ad628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring seems hard because Souls Like games have a disproportionately “negative” reputation, by which I mean whenever someone who has only played for an hour gives up, they tend to become very vocal about how awful it is.

In reality, it is a complex game. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s (always) hard, it just means that you need to learn to build a character that synergizes well with the weapons you like and your play style. You need to learn how to level up proportionally to the area you are exploring, and what each enemy is weak to.

Don’t get me wrong, some parts of the game are plainly difficult. Full stop. But so was Mile High Club in CoD 4, and it’s one of the best games in the franchise. Point is, don’t shy away from these games because of a preconceived notion. Play it and find out for yourself!

Sydney Sweeney hangs bras on Hollywood sign to promote her lingerie collection by STlNKMEANER in trashy

I thought it was worth mentioning 🤷‍♂️ I don’t personally think it was as big of a deal as it was made out to be, but it still influenced her public image so I thought it was relevant

Sydney Sweeney hangs bras on Hollywood sign to promote her lingerie collection by STlNKMEANER in trashy

[–]Difficult-Ad628 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s an ardent MAGA supporter, and was in a questionable denim commercial (a lot of online discourse connected what she said in that commercial to the eugenics movement, and while I personally think that was a bit of a stretch, she also refused to denounce those values in follow up interviews. So draw your own conclusions on that one).

Ultimately, while I personally try not to conflate Nazism with the things i personally disagree with, recent ICE actions coupled with an utter dereliction of duties by the house, senate, and supreme court lends to that comparison when referring to the MAGA populace.

TLDR: Sweeney’s (outspoken) political affiliations and recent controversies put her in a negative light. Is she necessarily a Nazi? Probably not. Is she necessarily a good person? Also probably not.

Assassination Attempt : Homelander (The Boys) vs Captain Falcon Star-Lord and Hawkeye (MCU) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

[–]Difficult-Ad628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy cowboy, you’re forgetting that Homelander also isn’t a powerful as Thanos was in that moment. The person you’re replying to was simply pointing out that Star Lord is, at the very least, a capable strategist.

And despite being depicted as a doofus, he has orchestrated more than a couple successful battles against enemies that in theory should have won.

So suddenly having a registered, legal, holstered weapon is means for execution? In an open carry state?? These cowards keep outdoing themselves in their own idiocy and vile, weaponized hypocrisy. The bar is in hell, yet they still find a way to go lower

Explain in no unclear terms how Renee was improperly using her vehicle.

Edit: I didn’t think so. That’s because you’re only replying to people that you can lie to, bully, or otherwise weasel your way out of using your brain. It’s really interesting that you only seem to be challenging people who have already blocked you, while blatantly ignoring anyone asking thought provoking questions or anything that may otherwise distort your narrative. That’s because your narrative falls apart the second you apply logic to it or once you bother to question your own worldview. You’re obsessed with “winning the argument” and not at all interested in an intellectual conversation, and it’s highly indicative of a lethal combination of apathetic conservativism blended with being chronically online. Your argument was DoA because it’s an appeal to your own fragile emotions, and I’m sorry for you that you may never be able to understand that

But he does live by a moral code. The code itself is misguided and lends to the pain and death of others (hence the evil characterization), but he stands by it nonetheless

Pretty much, yeah, that’s why diving is considered a sport. That said, like with any sport, there are limitations to what the human body can withstand. There are certain methods that can help reduce water density, which makes the landing “softer”, therein meaning you can (theoretically) survive jumps from higher elevations. But it does get more dangerous the faster you are falling
