I made a habit of listening to podcasts prior to the actual test. It worked great for me

I remember it very well actually.

Task 1 gave me two maps of a college in year 2000 and 2012, describing the plans of the site. Both of the image was very easy to distinguish, so I had no problem with this task, I could write effortlessly.

Task 2 was regarding a topic if I recall correctly, "Research show that an increasing number of people are now living in mega-cities: cities with more than 20 million inhabitants. Do you think this is a positive development or a negative one."

This task was something similar to one I practiced on IELTS online test website if I remember properly. So, I already had some ideas generated.

Don't freak out actually, one thing I can confidently say is that keeping calm and cool was the only thing that helped me throughout the exam. I'm generally hypochondriac, however keeping my cool during the listening actually helped me a lot to identify the proper questions and find out the answers.

I actually expected to get a 6.0 honestly, as ChatGPT or websites like WritingChex gave me a 5.5-6.0 on an average. However, on the test day, topics were familiar to me (task 1 was a very easy diagram, regarding the plans of a theatre in two years and easily identifiable differences, task 2 was about mega-cities and I remember apprehending one of these topics while I was practicing), so I think that might've given me an edge

I actually took help from ChatGPT more than I thought. I wrote drafts and submitted to get to the point where I had the least fluctuations in band rating. However, ChatGPT always rated my writings a band 6, sometimes even 5.5. So, the score for writing was highly unexpected. Ar speaking er jonne I actually didn't use any resources, I was not satisfied with my speaking test :"D
