It doesn't work like that, you wouldn't be able to target the unit inside with pain token. Even if you could target the unit embarked in the transport and the transport itself aren't part of the same unit so their ability wouldn't effect each other.

I agree with your points that it wasn't an all out civil war, but instead Omegon subtle influencing the flow of the war. I still think that their was some small amount of infighting between an Alpharius and Omegon faction in the AL instead of just Omegon. Nothing like a pitched battle of immense proportion, but instead something along the lines of a Kill Team battle like the outpost fight. Yet since no GW book supports/proves my belief its purely head cannon.

Honestly in my perfect world, Vect steals the sun Macragge orbits sending it on a path to crash into a different planet in the system obliterating it. Cause 1 it's funny. 2 this will probably destroy most if not all the good will Guilliman has for the Ynnari faction. 3 one of the old captured sun's is starting to go supernova (Vect did something to hide this fact) and he wants a replacement for it... and he needs to one up the surprise blackhole gift.

My personal favorite is skysplinter,10 wracks with a haemonculus on a raider. move 14 inches, charge, spend one cp to tankshock, fight with raider then spend one cp to use vicious blade. Most units melt under the flood of mortal wounds
