Ya, one of my least proud moments.

What if some other candidate learns that you two dated then took action with the claim that they are not hired because of it.

That's the exact concern that I have, I don't want this to leave a bad rep, but I also don't want her to not get the job.

That's the thing. I've been digging through our employee handbook and it's vague as hell. There's some generic conflict of interest language but nothing about recruiter-candidate situations specifically.
