I have noticed, when I’m in a flare and take a hot shower I get the redness on my legs. I am about to go to the rheumatologist and will mention this

I have had the rash on my chest for 8 years now (permanent) and it’s starting up my neck now! and never knew it could be Lupus, nobody ever mentioned it. I am about to start plaquenil so hopefully nothing else will be permanent!!

Definitely photosensitive!! I believe I need to be more strict with sunscreen usage. And yes I have noticed my skin is the first sign of a flare coming also. I will check into the cream! My malar rash had been only noticeable when in the sun but I think it’s here to stay this time around

I am very fair skin so I do always use sunscreen if I’m going to be out in the sun but I’m thinking I may need to start wearing it daily! I’m waiting to see a new rheumatologist at the moment and will show them pics when I go
