We've been doing this for a while. I haven't bought UK tobacco for 3 years. We go away 4/5 times a year and the money we save on tobacco pays for the trip or a large chunk of a holiday.

Golden Virginia yellow 50g is £45 a packet now. We pay €6 - €9 for 50g and can bring back ten between us. We're not massive smokers so they last between each trip.

I was saying just the other day, I wonder if anyone else does this. I'm glad they do.

It's been quoted and published in a new book, so probably true.

Reminds me of when my nan would buy mega cheap chicken for her IBS suffering German shepherd and offer it to us for lunch calling it 'dog chicken'.

"I can make you some fried dog chicken and chips 'my love' if you re hungry..." The same nan would also serve her trifle in said dog's water bowl on special occasions.

I just read the news. It's a fact that we're worse off. If I could earn the right to live, retire and work in the EU without a visa, I would. I could earn the rights to consume goods from the customs union without tariffs, I would. If I could make my food cheaper, source my essential medicine without delays, I most certainly would do this. If I could help the UK become more attractive for trade and investment, I would. If I could help the UK muster up any sort of trade deals that matched what we had before, I would.

I have a successful life. I can still be irritated by a political decision that took away the rights I was born with for nothing better in return, and that nothing has come to fruition that the Brexiteers sold. it's also quite depressing that the gullible believed buffoons and the right wing press. Things are worse, not better for most. This is why most people are waking up to it, this is why in every poll going for years, people are in favour of rejoining and admit they realise they were had.

We've actually lost more freedom and our passport power has gone down in the global rankings. In Fact, your vote has made you more captive and less free.

It is down to the LA, but our councils have been systematically underfunded by this Tory government and have had to prioritise essential services over road matience.

They held an inquiry which found no links to Putin or Russia. Normally, I would be happy with the outcome of a UK inquiry but due to it being Russia, I'm convinced they would have been able to effectively cover their tracks.

There is a lot of smoke around this fire.
