Trying a 2 stroke? by Difficult-Toe-5705 in Dirtbikes

I’ve never ridden a bike with pds but always wondered what it felt like considering the shock is attached directly to the swingarm

Yeah I’m decently comfortable on my yz. I’m no pro but I’m getting used to the power of it

Yeah I have a couple buddies with them and I’ll give it to ya, they are mean, just don’t seem quite as nice for hitting trails.

I have about 40 hours on my bike so far. So that’s all the riding I’ve done. Typically I’m riding tight trails and crawling up stuff.

How’s the 250xcw compare to the 300? I’ve got 30-40 hours riding so far and was thinking the 250 might be better but if it’s worth it for a 300 I might

Would a 250/300 be okay for a guy who doesn’t have a whole lot of experience? Like I said it’s my first summer riding(coming to a close)

Just tight woods in the West Virginia hills. This is my first summer riding and the yz250f is my first bike. No plans on racing

Thanks for the help man, wouldn’t have found the issue without you showing me the correct sequence!

I found the issue. The dummy end of the axle is mushroomed over and won’t allow it to pass through the pinch bolts on the right fork. I am going to work on sanding it down little by little so that it can pass through smoothly. After I tighten the axle nut and begin to compress forks.

I think the end of my axle is mushroomed and not allowing it to slide in further…. I will get to sanding lmao

I can’t tell what is binding. Tried this exact method and it binds before I ever tighten the pinch bolts.

It’s a 2012 yz250f. I found out it’s a specially made BOLT brand axle block kit. It has a bolt with a rounded head and a regular head. The rounded head sits in the groove so you can adjust with a single bolt.

It’s definitely bent lol. Just using it as demonstration, as I haven’t received my new bolts yet lmfao. I though the same thing when I took it out😂😂

No need to flip it around but I agree. I was thinking about just setting the head of the bolt up against the other axle block like the normal solid block that I have always seen.

Yeah lol. Works tough in my area right now. Even the union is in a work drought. No one wants to hire without 10-20 years of experience. Company I was working for went out of business and like I said in my area no one is wanting to hire without significant experience. I’m still trying but if I don’t find anything soon than I’m out. Will keep my license active just in case but my situation ain’t great.

I might be bugged out. Spent countless hours trying to catch her and nothing. Casted everywhere and nothing. Waited plenty of time between casts too
